The short of it: Fast and efficient data recovery. Prices are REASONABLE, NOT exploitative like most repair and data recovery services. If you're not sure where to go, these are your guys! If we ever need tech repair services again, we're coming back here, no question.
But let me paint you a picture.
Your partner is a PhD student at SU with a defense less than a week away. You bump into their coffee and everything happens in slow motion as it spills all over their computer. You scream. They scream. You grab the laptop and flip it over on some towels. Dry it best you can. It won't turn on. You bring the hard drive to SU's ITS to get the data. They say it doesn't look good, it won't mount to their adapters, and it appears there's no data on the drive. You're about to cry. They tell you you can call DriveSavers, but they're usually over $1000, and you simply don't have that kind of money. You call them just in case, and yeah, they want $2900 if they recover all your data, and $900 if they only recover fragments! The "expedited" service, which would still take at least a week, is $1000 extra. You call other similar places, and you get similar quotes, for similar time ranges.
We are SO GLAD we found this place. They only charged me $130 to clone the entire drive (and yes, they saved all the necessary files for my partner's defense, completely intact). I got to them right before they closed, Manny called me at 1 the next day to go over details, and the job was done and ready for pickup that same day. After being told over and over again that my only option was to dish out thousands of dollars...this was an...
Read moreI had heard about MM Tech Support most likely how most people do and that is searching through the internet trying to find a decent Tech Repair place that isn't going to throttle you with prices. I have an MSI Laptop and was having many issues with it including Blue Screens(BSOD's), complete system freezes with fragmentation of the screen and overheating issues. I had taken my computer to Manny at MM Tech Doctor, and showed him some pictures of what was going on. 1 week later my computer was fixed. At the start Manny is very up front and does not pull any punches he will tell what he thinks is wrong with and how much it is going to cost to repair, he will also tell you on other things that may be causing the issues. His diagnosis process went as follows. Cleaning out the vents and fans and applying new thermal paste to the necessary components, doing a Hard Drive Check to make sure there were no corrupt files that could be causing my issues, and finally stress testing the computer on a game to see if it still was giving the same issues, it was. So he dove back into my computer and found out that one of the Ram sticks that was in my laptop was faulty and needed to be replaced. I cannot thank him enough for doing this, he is very personable, prices are flat rate depending on what needs to be done to the piece of tech you are wanting repaired and the turn around time was incredible in my book since if I had sent the computer back for an RMA I would have waited 30-45 days to get it back. So here is a big thank you Manny. I will be back if anything goes wrong and will tell all my...
Read moreAs an IT Helpdesk Analyst supporting clinical operations, I rarely come across repair work this exceptional. One of our physicianâs clinical laptops had major hardware issuesâone USB-C charging port was physically detached from the motherboard, and the other wasnât receiving power.
MM Tech Doctor soldered the detached port back onto the board, diagnosed a blown fuse and capacitor, replaced them, and retested both ports using a multimeter. By the time I picked it up, the laptop was charging perfectly and voltage was spot-on across both ports.
What really stood out to me as an IT professional is that this is logic board-level workâsomething that most IT shops within large companies simply donât do. In enterprise environments, we typically just send devices like this back to the manufacturer.
Manny gave daily updates during the repair process, and when I picked it up, he walked me through everything in detailâeven showing me the board readings on a multimeter at the front desk.
I was fully expecting to pay much more for the level of service I received. Even after finding additional issues and fixing them, the price was extremely fair. He even offered a discount for writing a reviewâbut I declined. The quality of the work and professionalism deserved to be recognized regardless.
This is the kind of repair work you just donât see anymore. If you have a critical machineâwhether itâs for clinical use or personalâbring it to MM Tech Doctor. Theyâve earned my trust...
