Fast attentive staff,good food,they had 1.00 wings good size awesome taste i like them extra crispy they were perfect same with shrimp basket..Drinks were perfectly made not overly strong nor weak..no matter whoch bartender was pouringthere was 3 ,live music also not overly loud good music good sound you could still talk people were still able to playdarts etc..there wasnt people all drunk being rude or aggressive.it was a fun,cheerful.freindly crowd..Hometown bar feel but also very welcoming me n my wife have only been there a couple of times but no matter the crowd and bartenders always make you feel as if your their all the time..If you wanna have a no drama,fun night out.the food is good atmosphere is amazing for syracuse..Town Tavern is a great bar when is nice out theres picnic tables out front so you can relax have a cig or whatever is you do !...
Read moreI walked with 2 persons with special needs. We were not greeted or acknowledged. We srltood around, looked at their "menu",. We even walked to the back to seat ourselves and waited about 10 minutes. Still nothing. I chose to walk out because persons of color or special needs don't need to contribute to an establishment with preferences of customers. The customers already joined the bartender/ hostess. To my astonishment, lol. We were thanked for our business as we walked out faster than welcoming us to enjoy food that one of my girls recommended. Racist behaviors can keep their business. Saddening, my girls were looking forward to that sit down. The fact that I had explain to them what that was all about was crazy. Gross how people are still discriminating...
Read moreI have been looking over a year for a suitable replacement to Sal’s Seafood in the North Syracuse/Mattydale area for a Friday lunchtime fish fry sandwich. Sal’s closed last year after serving the community for over 70 years and me patronizing them for at least the last 20 or so. Well, I finally found the place! Town Tavern’s fish fry sandwich is very comparable to Sal’s - a large piece of fish, perfectly breaded and fried, served on a sub roll with equally nice French fries, all at a very reasonable price.
