Orlyk might show in galleries up and down the Hudson River; but where does he go for framing? Laffer's.
Laffer Gallery overlooks a backwater of the Hudson River, a forgotten canal basin. Two windows pretend to be paintings by the Hudson River School. The windows access the Hudson Valley light, filling the chambers hung with art, serious and seriously quirky. Wait. is this a private art gallery or a regional art center? The space felt a little like both, private and regional. It's a hard working gallery, but the we had a carefree experience as we explored the space.
