Dollar General — Attraction in Town of Saugerties

I'm a Veteran came in with my Service Dog. Outstanding Customer Service!!! I appreciate you guys helping me out find what I needed.

I locked my keys in my vehicle and they went far and beyond to help me out!

So thank you guys! I look forward to doing my shopping with you again. I recommend anyone going here.

Just Please be advised, Anyone who is legitimate having a "SERVICE DOG", Not A "THERAPY DOG" There is proper ID on the K9 Vest. "Example" "PTSD SERVICE DOG on Vest" and usually Military patches like my K9 does. A THERAPY Dog is NOT the same and proper training qnd such is how this is obtained. There's too Many people acting like Veteran's and Certain Civilians will likely know what I'm talking about. I myself who needs their Service Dog, recognizes who DOES have a Service Dog, and who DOES NOT! These people pretending are ruining this for people like myself.

Most of all people faking it are spitting in our faces whose Service Dog Saved Their Lives, Like My Life! It's same as "Stolen Valor" in my eyes.

Went in today to quickly grab change for my laundry. Asked the girl if I could exchange cash for change. The girl told me she was not able to open the drawer so I had to take money out of my laundry change to buy something so she could open the drawer. She at the end of the transaction tells me that she could have called the manager over to help but they’re too busy.

I know the girl was not aware that I’m currently unemployed and had to scrounge up the singles to even get change for the machines. But instead I had to buy something to get a 5 dollar bill back. Super frustrating as she also had an attitude when she was dealing with me. It’s the same girl that will stand there chatting with people she knows instead of helping the customers.

Today was just the last straw. I don’t mean to be a Karen, but it just frustrated me so I guess...

Not the best DG around. Lake Katrina n Kingston are better n cleaner. The staff at tbus one in simmons plaza are RUDE! They judge every person who walks in. N I know some of the staff n the things they tell me ,def should b told to someone cuz its just wrong. They are always out of milk, never have stocked shelves, things all over floor, nobody cleans and no masks half the time. If u have to go to this one in Simmons plaza I get it, but 3 min down the rodeos a great one n its clean, always stocked etc this...
