Most likely will come back again next year since the price was worth it for the quality of the haunted house / walk

Pros: Great price - only $23 if booked ahead online. Had LOTS of actors! Usually haunted houses lack actors but this one was full of them which was great! It was spooky but also good for kids as well, they had snacks (cookies, candy, and icecream being sold), cool photo ops, a medium that knew the background history of the location. They also had a tent that you could wait inside of so you wouldn’t be freezing which was awesome.

Cons: No hot chocolates being sold (it was freezing out), no real food except a food truck that was selling chicken fingers and cheese balls (not many options), no candy apples. Candy said it cost $1 and they charged us $2 for each one. Waited an hour, arrived at 7:30pm left at 8:50pm (the whole haunt took about 20 minutes), was unfortunately behind a group with someone who had a broken leg, so all the groups at one point got backed up during the haunted house because we had to pause so that the girl with a broken leg ahead of us could attempt to get herself up 12 stairs, the groups behind us were all annoyed, as were we, but we remained patient, even offered to...

I am knocking two stars off my review because Deepwells has lost sight of its community history! We have been going there for years and it was always an inexpensive, organic experience “acted” by local kids and parents. It was also 5/7/10 per person to enter over the years. We were shocked to find that is now $40 per person with a mandatory 2% surcharge for credit cards!!!

Imagine how $163.50 or $204 feels to parents of a family of four or five??? For Deepwells? That is an absolute ripoff.

The event itself is very well done - the sets are wonderfully creative and spooky. The actors - mostly high-school and college kids also do a great job. It really is a well done event - definitely a little tame as far as TRULY SCARY goes - but excellent nonetheless.

If you go, you’ll enjoy it, but it is very expensive for what you get.

It was fun, very creative and pleasing to the eyes. Lots to see. The forest walk was fun as well. Very organized. But it was more of a show. If you’re looking to be scared it’s not too scary. I had a couple jumps but was expecting the characters to jump scare me more and they posed more than scare. The characters outside should go around scaring folks while they wait to enter but they were hanging out talking amongst themselves. Still looking for that one scary haunted house.
