Gallimods Hobby Shop — Attraction in Town of Somers

I'm very new to the RC life, but live my life in the mechanic world. I have a very out-dated drone and wanted to get it flying again. After about the 12th website I visited, this place actually had my motors in stock. I purchased both sets of motors (since they are getting rare,) and asked if this business could mark which ones are which, because I have no clue. Less than an hour later, I received a personal phone call on asking what my needs were. I explained I was extremely new to this hobby and he walked me through that the motors are labeled clockwise and counter clockwise. He went into further detail on wiring and how I could tell a difference and what to look for. Most likely 7pm in his time zone and he didn't "need" to provide that type of customer service. So not only did I find a place with rare parts, but I also found a place who provides top shelf customer service. My only disappointment was that I couldn't find any shwag (hats/shirts/stickers) to buy. My shipment was dropped off at the local USPS within 2 hours. I cannot give these people enough credit. I would give 0 stars but Google would not allow it. Ordered an rc car and was forced to pay 40$ for usps 1-3 day express. It has been 9 days now and usps tracking has this rc car still in the same town as the hobby shop. I live a short drive away and could have rode a bicycle there and back in a day, so what is taking so long. Either the truck was not in stock and I am being lied to or the shop uses unreliable shipping(usps) and does not care about their products after they leave the shop. Been trying to track down this order for over a week now with no luck. Wish I had spent my 700$ elsewhere, I will definitely be spreading the word to all of my friends and those who we rc with to never order anything from this store online. This store probably would have gotten a good review if they used a reliable shipping service, but instead now I have to deal with usps and the sea of pre recorded messages that you have to navigate for hours just to try and speak to a living human. Had a great experience at Gallimods Hobby went there to pick up my 33 Hot Rod Traxxas RC. The staff was professional and knowledgeable. They were able to set me up with the right battery and connector to work with my G2 2200 Spectrum charger for my RC. I was also having an issue with a G2 810 2S 50 Spectrum battery that I bought on line that wasn’t being recognized by the charger. The staff knew exactly the cable I needed to and the reason it wasn’t recognized as a smart battery. I’m glad I went the route of going to my local hobby store other than buying it online and paying for a Traxxas battery and charger which have would cost me an extra hundred dollars.
