I have to say, the first time I went into this Vitamin Shoppe I was really impressed, mostly with the staff. There was a woman and a young man on duty and they were knowledgable, pleasant, polite and very helpful. I was impressed and concluded it was worth the drive from Canada to come here. (I would like to order on line and have it shipped to my sisters in the US but apparently the company is unable to figure out how to accept a Canadian address as the billing address). However, yesterday I returned and was treated rudely by the man on duty. He refused to help me with trying to find what I needed and this is a quote, "it would take me all day if I did that". I was shocked at his abrupt and rude behavior. My sister was with me and said, "if that was my first visit it would have been my last. I have never been treated like that as a customer". We left without purchasing any of the things we came for. It was a totally wasted trip.
For the record I did send them an email as they suggested so that they could "make things right" and " and "provide you with a solution". Their response was basically all the right PR words like in their response here followed by...basically...sorry about your luck, there is...
Read moreWorst customer service EVER! Anne the manager was the rudest person I have ever dealt with, she was so inconsiderate, talked to me with attitude, and her employee was even worse. I had a return to make and recently had a critical operation. The return was just over a week late from the 30-day return policy and after speaking with customer service on the phone they said it would be okay. She said no to the return in a very sassy and bothered tone after she made us wait for 20 minutes in the store. We also overheard her making unprofessional remarks about her customers. For a manager, this is very unprofessional, and embarrassing for the entire Vitamin Shoppe company. We also had a pick up that was valued at more than the cost of the returns. This is unacceptable customer service and behaviour to receive from a manager. Have a bit of compassion and empathy when you are speaking to customers, especially when they explain their situation as to why they couldn’t make it before the 30-day return period.
