I had a wonderful experience at YBIF. Josh behind the counter was very attentive, asked effective questions, which resulted in a quick diagnosis. His time estimate for how long the fix would take was spot on. The place delivered when they said they would deliver. Which is remarkable in this day and age. Furthermore I was impressed because this was a fix under Google warranty. They honored it without question, so I dropped it off, picked it up 3 hours later, didn't spend a dime. That is my kind of tech experience.

I have a OnePlus 12 R with cracked front and back screens. I paid exactly $392.78 for it brand new. I brought it here, and I was quoted $450 to replace both screens. I understand businesses are IN BUSINESS to make a profit, but there is a difference between making a profit and taking advantage of people. This place is obviously trying to take advantage of people. I uploaded the receipt for the phone when I bought it as proof that I paid under $400 for it brand new.

I went to here to get my phone clean out charge port. Something is in my port blocking type c fully into my port and charge my phone.Without actually looking at my charge port if my port is really broken or not. They want to charged me $100 to replace charge port. Edit: it's brand new type-c after put it into my phone. Edit 2: i got home and somewhat clear my phone charged port by using good ol paper cilp. My phone now changing via usb-c .

Asurion is simply awful. The people at this and one other store (Transit)) I had to go to were fine but the company itself is simply awful. I pay AT&T $40 a month to insure multiple phones on our account. That’s $480 a year. So in 2-1/2 years I have paid them $1,200 and never before made a claim. I got an email from them saying I may need a battery since the phone is 2-1/2 years old. My battery capacity was down to 82%. But I answered other questions indicating that my phone shuts off unexpectedly, etc. It said I qualify for a new battery. So I brought it into the Transit location as scheduled and they said I had a minor small crack on the bottom of my front screen that needed to be replaced first. This is where things became ridiculous. In order to fix the front glass, I needed to cancel my battery appointment. Why? That makes no sense whatsoever. It’s like bringing your car to a mechanic for an oil change and tire rotation, and the mechanic says I can only do one or the other but not both. So I do that and plan to leave my phone with them to repair the glass. Well turns out the store doesn’t have the glass so I have to drive to another town to get that done. I drive to the NFB (this) store and I leave the phone there and they do the glass but later say they don’t have the time to do the battery that evening. So rather than drive there to get my phone I leave it overnight. The next morning I get a call, thinking they are about to say that my phone is ready to be picked up. Instead, they say they can’t do the battery because it only got approved for glass. After then spending the next 3 to 4 hours on the telephone with Asurion, they keep trying to submit claims for a battery, and it keeps arriving at the store location as a claim for glass, which has already been done. The person trying to help me in the battery department of Asurion reaches out to some service people within the company who then say they can’t deal with her because they don’t deal with batteries. Each person I speak with acknowledges the numerous ridiculous policies that I and they encounter daily. After getting the runaround for hours and hours, they ultimately concluded that I can’t get a battery because my battery capacity is 82% and it needs to be down to 77%. Of course, this is contrary to how I qualified for a battery in the first place. And was never claimed as the problem prior to spending hours dealing with them. They also kept contending that by replacing the glass it sets the phone up as a warrantied phone so that you can’t get a new battery but have to get a new phone which makes no sense either. Can’t wait to see what they say when my battery hits 77%. At that point, I am thinking class action litigation will be the way to go. So this place is good if you are paying for your repair yourself, but I would implore you never to pay for a service contract with Asurion.

Edit (update): their reply to call or email them is absurd given that I’ve already spent more than four hours talking to their people. They did nothing to resolve the situation. They’re trying to make it look like they’re willing to help when they don’t...

Brought laptop here under the pretense on phone conversation with employee that it’s free diagnostics and they fix same day. Ended up leaving it after paying 60+ tax diagnostic fee and begged to get on a 25 per month “plan” that I said let’s wait first till computer fixed to talk about such plans. It was estimated to be fixed by next day right on my reciept it shows this. They were supposed to call me when done.they never called me! I ended up calling them a week later to be told guy working on it is not there. Then a week later called again to be told guy working on it is sick that day but he will call me then a week later I called again because still they not call and was given run around again. Then a week later I call again and a guy tells me that it needs keyboard replaced but he’s confused why it restarts sometimes so he asked me if it’s ok they mail to there special department that does advanced repairs. I was told it will be 300- 700 or more. I agreed. Another week goes by of no one calling me I had to keep calling myself until I was told it can’t be fixed. So I had to go get it after they get it back in mail. After what was over 45 days I finally went n picked up laptop and it was still broke and not to mention scratched and dented all over place. It look like garbage now. Did I mention I had to yell for service because they leave u in there waiting room while a bunch of ppl are laughing and joking in the back while watching u on there survalance cams. This place is awful I’m so upset I paid 3200 for my laptop and bringing it there just made it worse. It don’t even turn on now and is completely broke they may have stole parts out of it I’m gonna find out. When I broght it there it looked brand new and worked fine other than LEDs on keyboard not working properly and a restart every couple days I can’t believe I paid them. Thanks to them it’s like junk it now. Even if someone else fixes it it looks like a abused scuffed and scratched pile of crap now. Very rude horrible people that just want your money and treat your stuff like junk literally I’m shocked it looks like it was beat with a hammer.,and they don’t give you any updates ever and lie about who’s working on it or the status. I’m a very patient understandable person and right now I’m Beyond pissed that’s so messed up !!! They completely destroyed my 3200.00 computer. If I had not gone there my computer would still be working what very sad dishonest people did not even have decency to tell me that it’s not working anymore. Very lowdown rotten rift raft people. Please be very weary bringing your things there people or get ahold of me if you have to and I’ll tell you in more detail about my experience and I don’t think you will go there. W work hard for my things and this is on the borderline of breaking the law. I will find out if my parts were stolen or swapped and I’ll be pressing...

I'm not usually one to review places, but this place earned it. Back in September of 2021 I had my screen fixed on my phone at the Niagara Falls location. Shortly after getting it fixed I started having issues with the camera and flashlight functions. I tried multiple times to take my phone back in within the 90-days, but they were either closed or I had something work related come up. I finally made an appointment and drove all the way out just inside my 90-day window, only to be met at the door and told "sorry, we have a training today and aren't doing appointments". I was frustrated but figured "okay, I'll try to find time next week to come back". The following week I returned when I finally had some time only to be told "you're outside of your 90-day window and we can't help you". I was super annoyed and disappointed, as I was technically inside of my 90-day window when I had the appointment that THEY CANCELLED. By some stroke of luck I was told they didn't have my camera there and I would have to take it to Amhert. When I showed to the Amherst location and explained why I was there the manager said "that's unacceptable and you're not paying a dime". He had my phone fixed by my evening commute and I paid NOTHING for it. It's awesome that he was able to see how ridiculous it was that I was being punished for something that was the stores fault. That is how you take care of customers, and this location earned my business for whatever future repairs I...
