UPDATED REVIEW SPECIFICALLY FOR ALTERATIONS DEPARTMENT: I just want to advise ladies who are thinking about doing your alterations here, DON'T. The first appointment where they pin everything was fine, HOWEVER, when I went to pick up my dress, not only was the alterations done so poorly, the two women who were there were so quick to dismiss my concerns. The finished alterations looked nothing like the original pinning that the girl did the first appointment. I had asked for something to be sewn into the bodice, by the neck line thinking that they would center it, they did not. They paid NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL and were NOT helpful during my pick up appointment. They also were not going to steam my dress after being handled by 4 different people and were fully prepared to let me leave with my dress WRINKLED! I paid +$600 for my alterations and the "extra steam package" and ended up having everything removed for the bussel because it looked terrible and they were not willing to fix anything.
There was another bride in there as well and she was VERY UNHAPPY about the job they were doing. Another bride and her family were also having trouble with their dresses and the Bride even CRIED because she was so upset about her dress NOT BEING READY for the PICK UP APPOINTMENT.
The biggest disappointment that there was NO MANAGEMENT present that night and only 1 or 2 other ladies in the department store area. This is supposed to be a tremendous moment for a Bride picking up their wedding dress with the anticipation it's going to be EXACTLY HOW THEY IMAGINED and it wasn't for me and these other 2 Brides.
The ONLY SAVING GRACE WAS SONYA! If I could leave a separate review just for her I would and she'd receive 10 stars. She was so quick to try and help and problem solve that she was the ONLY HELPFUL PERSON willing to go the extra mile to help me. I'm truly appreciative of her for everything she did to make the situation better.
Original Post 1/12/25: with 5 star rating I just want to give the BIGGEST SHOUT OUT TO LIZ! She was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING with me and my family. Patient, understanding, and absolutely supportive of me and the whole wedding dress shopping process. I had 2 bridal consultation appointments and picked my dress at the end of the 2nd appointment. I truly had an amazing experience because of the amazing support that Liz provided me!

My last visit wasnāt so pleasant. I got my initial fitting and alterations done multiple times I asked the alterations team if they could let my dress out they told me there was no need that, the dress is supposed to fit that way disregarding the fact that Iām really uncomfortable. When I came back to pick up the dress and try it on after the alterations were made the top wouldnāt even zip. They told me to come back the next day for measurements when I went back the girl told me the same thing there wasnāt Need to dress out itās supposed to fit tight again after me stating that my dress feels uncomfortable. Also, they were supposed to cover up the front of my dress. They ended up not fixing that part despite me telling them that the front ripped my chest looks weird in the dress. I asked them to cover it that wasnāt done when I came back. We ended up coming to a happy medium during my final visit, but Iām still disappointed. Iām even more disappointed in the fact that I had to pay for alterations again, out of pocket for a mistake that they made through my experience with alterations I feel like I was disregarded each time. I donāt get how the dress is on my body. They think they know best when Iām trying to tell them that Iām uncomfortable in the dress as far as the mesh cover up she informed me that I would have to pay for that too even though I already paid for that, and it was already in my notes , they charge me twice paid for. Fast forward to my wedding day I take the dress out of the bag to find the hook that they girl working on my dress had to reinforce is no longer there meaning that I wasnāt able to wear my wedding dress on my big day what a huge disappointment they offered me a refund on alterations but not the dress itās self or even half of a refund whoever I spoke to was very dismissive and claimed she was in the back with me when the hook was fixed and that she knows the hook was reinforced correctly because...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanted to share some feedback regarding an unpleasant experience my daughter and I had at the Middletown location on the morning of October 8th 2025.
My daughter had been feeling discouraged about finding a dress, but during our visit, she finally found one she absolutely loved. Unfortunately, the dress had two visible rips. When we asked about having the dress repaired, we were told there might be a rush charge. We then asked if it would be possible to simply order a new one, considering the damage.
Our consultant was lovely and very helpful throughout the appointment, but it was the manager who informed us that the dress could not be ordered and that there was no way to get another one. However, while still in the fitting room, I looked it up on DavidsBridal.com and was able to order the exact same dress before leaving the store. After we mentioned this, the manager then told us that if we did order it online, it would likely be coming from another Davidās Bridal showroom and could already be damaged as well.
I have shopped at Davidās Bridal many times in the past, including purchasing my own wedding dress there, and Iāve always had wonderful experiences. Thatās why I was so surprised by the lack of attention and care from the manager during this visit, and by the way she refused to even consider that the dress might still be available to order. It was clearly not true that it could not be ordered, as I successfully purchased it online before leaving the store ā and it arrived the next day in perfect, brand-new condition.
