Pizza Star (Middletown) — Restaurant in Town of Wallkill

I ordered a medium plain pizza and was told 10-12 minutes. I showed up about 15 minutes later and was told that it wasn't ready. As I waited, I noticed a pie sitting on top of the oven that had been there since I arrived. While I waited, I went to look at the pizza they sell in slices. There was a swarm of flies all over the pizzas, and I noticed a cooked-in half of a bug on one of the slices of jalapeno. The loud Hispanic music hardly gave me the feeling of an Italian pizza experience. The floors were sticky, which made me question the cleanliness even more. After a while, the pizza cook said something in Spanish to the woman at the counter and she reached up and pulled the box that had been sitting there since I arrived and gave it to me. When I got it home, it was completely undercooked and so overly loaded with cheese that I had to remove some. I love a lot of cheese but this was excessive. I ate one slice and the cheese was so sour that I could tell that it had either been sitting out all day or just old. I threw out the rest of the pizza and will never...

Very poor. I ordered Calamari and almost lost my life. As I was gasping for air and choking off of a long piece of plastic. Not sure if it was done deliberately or accidentally. Refunded my money back but when I went back in there to show them the plastic he says ohhh what's that. like I almost lost my life. I was eating the food in my car when I thought it was part of the food because of it being naturally chewy. The plastic slipped down my throat and I began loose my breath. I was by myself. I prayed to god that I wasnt choking but I was for the first time and I just took my finger and gauged it out. I was traumatized for the whole night. Instead of lawyering up I just decided to give a 1 star review. This should never ever happen to anyone. I'm very upset at this place, my throat is all scratched up from trying to bring up the plastic out of my throat. The boy was not very sympathetic to what just happened. My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch on his break from work. We each ordered two slices: 2 plain, 1 pepperoni and 1 BBQ chicken slice. First off, the slices are HUGE! If you have ever visited the boardwalk at the Jersey Shore, you know how big their pizza slices are, and Pizza Star's slices were similar, albeit much cheaper than a slice on the boardwalk. We sat at a table inside, and the atmosphere was very homey and well decorated. Tables and counters were clean and well maintained and we were greeted immediately upon entering. The pizza was very good, and I have no doubt it would be even better freshly made. With the 4 slices and two drinks I believe we paid about $15, which for a quick lunch is not bad at all.
