One of the biggest and probably the best organized Chinese store I have been to. Hong Vuong Market stands as a testament to meticulous retail planning, breaking the stereotype of cluttered Asian grocery stores. The aisles stretch wide and inviting, with clear signage in both Chinese and English guiding shoppers through their carefully curated sections. The produce department sparkles with freshness, featuring an impressive array of Asian vegetables and fruits, from dragon fruit to fresh water chestnuts, all impeccably arranged and regularly misted.
Their seafood section deserves special mention, with pristine tanks housing live fish, crabs, and lobsters. The meat department maintains exceptional cleanliness, offering everything from traditional cuts to specialty items like duck tongues and chicken feet. What truly sets Hong Fuong apart is their systematic organization of dry goods – countless varieties of noodles, sauces, and seasonings are arranged logically, making it easy to find specific ingredients for any Asian recipe.
The store's commitment to cleanliness extends to their prepared foods section, where steam tables offer hot dishes and the bakery produces fresh buns daily. The staff, though not always fluent in English, remains attentive and eager to assist, contributing to an overall pleasant...
Read moreHung Vuong is a great new supermarket that opened in Berwyn. It is easily the biggest Asian supermarket in this area. As you walk in, they have lots of fresh fruit’s and vegetables. Next, aisles and aisles of Asian condiments, snacks, sauces, a million varieties of ramen, dried foods, anything you could think of. In the back of the store is the seafood and butcher shop areas. Ton’s of varieties in the seafood area; some fresh fish options and lots of stuff on ice. If you need a place to take kids to kill some time, it’s almost a mini aquarium. The meat area is pretty bountiful as well. Lots of different cuts and prepackaged options. Next is a frozen section that offers meals, snacks, desserts, and more. Not just Chinese foods either, some varieties from all different types of Asians. Lastly is a large drink aisle with lots of options and even a section you can just buy goods like pots and pans or other things you might need around the house. I believe there is even a small pharmacy at the front of the store. Hung Vuong seems to cover a lot of bases and you can find all manner of...
Read moreI heard this supermarket was new so I wanted to try it. Yes, it is cleaner than the one in Chinatown and in south Philadelphia. Location is not the best but it is not the worst either. The produce is fresher than the one in Cherry Hill. Because I have been to different Asian markets in a row, so I would say the price on this supermarket is slightly more than other same brand grocery stores. Normally, people won't notice that but I am very sensitive to numbers so I definitely noticed that. But I understand they probably target at the higher income group in that area But! As a such a big Asian supermarket, they don't have the pickled long beans.(酸豆角)I would consider it is a very big crisis. If I WERE the manager of this supermarket, I would definitely pay attention to the varieties of the items. Maybe they would argue that it is a Vietnamese supermarket but I have talked to the staff there. They are Chinese. I think this one item is VERY important! It feels like you walk into a German/polish store, and they don't...
