Trinidad Head is easy to get to and a great short hike. This one mile trail is steep and a good way to exercise outdoors with kids during COVID. The trail is safe during COVID, with one-way directional signage to encourage social distancing. We saw more than a few hikers but they were their masks and were respectful with space. There are many breathtaking views of the Pacific and views of the small town of Trinidad. Climb to the top of the rocks on the trail the shoots off about half way through to see nearly 360 degree views of Humboldt. Highly recommend this quick, beautiful hike!

Expected a nice viewpoint at the top. Unfortunately there was nothing at the top or maybe I missed something. Only saw some sort of power plant at the top. The most you're going to get are the viewpoints along the trail. Once you finish walking the trail, head down the to beach and watch that sunset! Parking available on the gravel lot.

Absolutely lovely place to walk on a sunny afternoon. Expect great views with a bit of wind. Nice overlook of the ocean. Great place to see migrating whales and sea birds. Don't forget to bring your binoculars! They moved the lighthouse due to the hill eroding.(If this review was helpful, please hit the "like" icon below)

This is absolutely one of my favorite quick spots to go for a simple energy-boosting hike! FIrstly, it's really easy to get to, just a quick 20 minutes north of Arcata. Secondly, this quick ~1 mile hike has the beautiful vistas, elevation changes and importantly, nature. Lastly, it's a beautiful place to hang out along the coast, complimented with a trip to BeachComber Cafe for a coffee or pastry, makes this a quick morning refresher that starts your...

This is an eroded headland with a trail around the top of it through dense Evergreen huckleberry shrubs and several overlooks of the Pacific Ocean and Trinidad Bay. It's a relatively short trail that stops at the top where a historic cross is located and a paved road can then be walked back to the trailhead. It's a great location for sunsets...
