Sawtooth Jewelry — Attraction in Troy

Maria is awesome! My wife and I traveled all the way from D.C. to make our wedding rings at Sawtooth, and it was well worth the drive. Maria was an excellent teacher -- neither of us are particularly crafty/handy, but with her guidance, our rings turned out exactly how we wanted, and we felt very accomplished at the end of the day. She made it an experience that we will always cherish, and it added an even more special significance to our rings. Besides being a great teacher and incredibly kind person, Maria provided a tasty breakfast of bagels and coffee and snacks throughout the day. She is also a huge fan of Troy, and we wish we could have stayed longer to explore all her suggestions for places to eat and drink across town (but the ones we did get to were great!). We cannot say enough about this all-around...

My husband and I decided to make our own wedding bands, and let me tell you—Maria was an absolute rockstar! I had zero experience with metalworking, but she guided us through every step, making sure we felt totally comfortable and, most importantly, had a blast. Who knew making rings could be such hard work? Major respect to all the jewelers out there after going through that!

In the end, our rings turned out perfect, and now that we get to wear them every day after the wedding, we love them even more. It was an unforgettable experience, and Maria made the whole weekend even better with her amazing recommendations for food and cool places to hang out. Pro: Beautiful restoration of a ring at a fair price even when it involved replacing the stone (damaged beyond repair during the polishing) Con: We found out about the destruction of the stone when we called to see if it was ready to pick up. No one contacted us when it happened. Con: One person told us we should have made an appointment for service in a not so friendly way. Odd, as we were there to discuss an issue with the restoration of the ring (not adopt a child or purchase a home🙄) When we discussed the ring with the jeweler over the phone we were never told to make an appt when we asked if we could see the new stone. Pro: The jeweler and and another staff person in the store were very gracious...
