Jon Gernon came back to Troy to fill the gaping hole left when a long-standing framer retired. He has not disappointed! I've had two challenging items framed so far -- a slightly abused and fragile Chagall print and a gorgeous accordion book of collages by Schenectady-based artist and poet, Leslie Neustadt. Jon handled the print with great care, and did miraculous work on the accordion book, He constructed a box with glass on both sides, carved zigzag slots into matting at the box's top and bottom, and set the book's edges into the perfect slots. It's rock solid yet seems to be floating, both sides of the book can be seen, and no adhesive was used on the book itself.
