For my daughter's first hair cut I wanted to bring her somewhere fun that she would enjoy, so I brought her to the Sugar Plum salon. When I walked in, the workers all looked at me like I was crazy and asked if they could help me. I said my daughter needed a haircut and one of the stylists told me they had a birthday party and were not doing walk-ins at that time. She then told me to come back at noon when the party was over. So my daughter and I ran some errands at the pennacle and waited 2 hours until it was 12:00. I brought her back to the salon and the same thing happened!! When we walked in, the stylists looked at me like I was crazy and asked if they could help me. I told them my daughter needed a haircut. The girl I was talking to seemed confused and went to ask someone else if my daughter could get her haircut. The other girl came to the counter to talk to me and said that they had a birthday party and were not doing walk-ins. She tried to schedule a reservation with us but I was so frustrated by that point that I declined and took my daughter to Head Start instead. Thank goodness for Head Start! We should have gone there from the beginning. They saw us almost immediately! I don't know if Saturdays are designated party day at that salon, but I will not be taking my kids there again! I felt like I was a complete inconvenience for the staff! Oh, and they never had any kind of signage on the front door stating that a party was in progress and they were not...

Cute place to have a little spa day for your little one of your child doesn't want the bubble jets for their pedicure.. as they only have their feet in a sink...but.. I do not recommend getting hair cut here. After my daughter had her hair cut I mentioned they missed some.. they argued with me and said it was just the way they cut it.. her hair is definitely messed up.. we will now have to either cut it much shorter or let it stay messed up while it grows out to fix it 😠

update After contacting the company they rescheduled for my daughter to have her hair fixed by another stylist. I believe her name was Jenise but I'm terrible with names 😬.. she was very sweet and patient making sure my daughters hair was fixed. She took her time and actually spoke with my little one instead of ignoring her as our experience before. My daughter cut one little snip out of her hair trying to give herself bangs. I wasnt expecting a miracle to hide it but asked them to cut her some bangs and feather her hair around her face giving her a layered style. Her hair used to be all one length with long hair and no bangs. We left with too short bangs and instead of a feathered layered style, framing her face, it was cut at odd chunks around her face and even given side burns. It was very boyish and still uneven. I could have done a better job myself and not given my little girl almost a bowl cut with side burns. Everyone who saw it thought she had done it herself not that is what she got at a professional kids cut place. I shouldn't have paid for the cut and am anxiously waiting on it to grow out enough to get a cut to make her a pretty girl again.
