It has been years since I visited a Red Lobster 🦞. So, my hubby and I ventured out for a quick dinner bite and keep that rekindle of love alive. Plus, my palettes always have a taste for seafood. So, what I want I get. Where do I start. OMG 😳 have you ever ate appetizers small in bite but fulfilling on the inside. I did and couldn’t make room for my main cuisine. Most of our servings was delicious. Except for one appetizer that had me a little disappointed 😔. You can read that info in my pros and cons section.
Too continue, the restaurant has not strayed from it’s authentic style. Even when my father took me at the age 15. The quantity of food has not downgraded. Our server Kendra gets 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾. She responded and listened to our recommended menu choices and did not side track.
Pros:
Great atmosphere for relaxing and eating
Clean tables and menus
Menus align w/ original style 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Ambiance aligns w/ theme. Music selection was universal. Not too loud and not too low.
Decor and freshly served food at appropriate temperature
Food served promptly
Variety of dishes and beverages (drinking selection was “sweet tea”)
Servers/cashiers are knowledgeable and professional
More than (1) location

Cons:
Calamari was fried properly but too chewy/rubbery. For example, it was seasoned good. Though, I did not feel the mild texture and sweet taste of the calamari.
Pricing for some dishes was not reasonable 💵. For instance, my husband got (1) slice of fish and small proportion of fries. He’s a hefty man. The price of the dish should be wholesome. (2) slices of fish and two handful of fries should have been the appropriate amount.
That’s is why the restaurant...
Read moreWe wanted to go outside our norm for a datenight this evening. So we strolled over to Trussville for an evening out. Ashley wanted the Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms for an appetizer. They were hot and full of flavor. The thick layer of melted cheese on top was hearty and smooth. The mushrooms themselves were very crisp and full. We cut them in half and ate them from the I reliable oven tray. The Cheese biscuits were especially delicious with a layer of the cheese in-between the layers. For dinner Ashley ordered the 7 ounce sirloin, the red shrimp skewer and the lobster loaded mashed potatoes with the Caesar salad. Her steak was pretty, tender and cooked to order, the red shrimp skert was tender and sweet. The shrimp were large and meaty. The rice was a small sampler bed seasoned to please. The Caesar was tasty with the thin slices of parmesean cheese on top. I had the bacon wrapped large scallops, the bay scallops and the wild flounder with a baked potato and house salad. The salad was fresh and crisp. The onions were purple and sweet with a nice firm bite. The large scallops were tender and wrapped in a thick slice of wonderful bacon. The bay scallops were the size of pearl onions. They were tender and very sweet. The flounder was tender and cooked gently inside a fine corn meal batter. The fish was presented hot and moist. All in all the additional highlight of the night was Lauren, our server. She was just great. She had excellent knowledge of the menu and answered each of our questions with recommendations and personal preferences. She is a local university student who is from the area. She is a huge asset to this operation. We will add this restaurant to our...
Read moreI took my Family to Red Lobster to celebrate some good news for the family on 10/05. The visit started out fine. I was seated within the 15 min wait I was told. Our drink order and food order was taken timely and biscuits were put on the table. After that it went down hill. I rarely saw our server after that. The food order took a long time to come (I understand everyone is short handed) and while we were waiting a manager I guess came by and asked if we were fine and if we would like more biscuits while we waited and stated she would get them right out. The food came and because of the long wait we were all out of drinks. I asked the server them to refill our drinks and placed all the glasses at the end of the table. At least 30 min later I had to ask another server for drinks because I had not seen ours. They finally brought unsweet tea for my wife and I but my son had sweet tea and they did not have it and said they would be right back. At least 30 min later they near never returned. He finished his meal with no drink. I ordered the endless shrimp and got 1 refill in an hour and a half. I was being told they we’re waiting on the kitchen. Then I asked for the manager and voiced my complaints and she was sympathetic and did discount our bill. Then they brought my sons tea refill. I never saw the biscuits the server said would be right out or any more shrimp. I am frustrated because I did not go there to get a discounted meal. I went to celebrate with my family which ended in frustration. I will not ever return to this restaurant. Other customers were also complaining. The one good thing I will say is the food that we did get...
