I called casa fiesta in Trussville, Alabama today and a manager (Louise) answered the phone. I know because I have been to the restaurant many many times and even celebrated several birthdays for family members there and I have had many conversations with Louise. I asked him (Louise) what time they closed and who was bartending. He said “10 and the same bartender as always” I asked if the bartender had a name as I hadn’t been there for a short while he said “same bartender” and HUNG UP IN MY FACE. I am so over Casa Fiesta getting my hard earned dollar and never knowing what version of the waiters and waitresses and managers you are going to get. Sometimes I have been there where they all are sitting down eating and laughing and talking and I have to walk to the bar on my own to get a drink. I mean at least just come back and check on us.
I’m not a hard person to please and I tip OVER 20% EVERYTIME I come. and getting unhung up on is the last straw for me
I work very hard and I love to support local restaurants and I like Casa Fiesta. When Ken is bartending he is friendly and engaging and makes you feel welcomed. When other bartenders are back there it is a mess. They barely make eye contact with you and they barely speak. They will leave the bar and you have to search for them to get a refill on a poorly made drink.
When we sit in the dining area it’s just hit or miss. Sometimes servers are in good moods some times they aren’t. It’s insane.
I had planned on bringing a group of friends who had never been there before and wanted to make sure we all had a pleasant experience. That will NOT be happening anytime soon. That was the ultimate disrespect and completely uncalled for. Questions don’t mean problems. Sometimes with certain bartenders I stick to certain drinks because I know what they make good.
If it’s a issue of privacy then explain that you are uncomfortable giving the name of the bartender and that I would need to come in. I’m a business owner and reasonable person who can understand that. But HANGING UP IN MY FACE is the ultimate “f#%k you” to a loyal customer. Absolutely disgusting behavior and from a manager. It just makes it...
Read moreThis was myself and my family's first visit. The hostess was not rude but not welcoming/kind. But ok. There was only 2 tables occupied inside and about 4 outside where we were seated. However, our waitress, Daniela was way rude and clearly did not want to be bothered with us. It was obvious in her Attempt and her Success at rushing us. When we were asked if we were ready to order or if we needed a few more minutes we asked for a few more minutes. She Literally came Rushing back 30 seconds later. I wasn't ready so I ask if there was anything she recommended/liked she literally blew through about three menu items (I could not catch them!) And it wasn't an accent issue. (It was her way of saying- (without saying out loud); "I Don't Want You Here, I Don't Want To Be Bothered; Hurry The Hell Up!" This is what I felt and heard in the spirit and energy of her words and tone. We felt disrespected and embarrassed at the way we were being treated) and she never said another word to me. She just stood there stone cold. She didn't explain the dishes at all! So I ordered but I didn't like what ordered so I kindly sent it back. She never cared to ask if I would like to order anything else...nothing. So I didn't have a meal to eat. She has a Very Nasty Attitude. We were excited, we love mexican food but this was a...
Read moreI have been very impressed with this Mexican Grill, located in Trussville. There have been several restaurants in this location over the years, and none have seemed to make it, however I think casa fiesta will. The portion sizes are huge, the service is fast, and the food quality is good.
One of my favorite dishes to order at this restaurant is the chicken mole. It is only available on the dinner menu, and is a little pricey at about 12 or $13, but it is rather good. However, it is a large portion of chicken it could easily be shared with someone else. The mole sauce is tasty, with bitter, Cocoa undertones, as expected.
We also tried the queso and added chorizo in it. It is definitely worth a try! On a most recent trip, I had the chicken soup. I found it to be pretty average in comparison to other Mexican chicken soups. It's simply a combination of chicken broth, chicken, rice, topped with pico and avocado. It wasn't particularly remarkable, although it was a solid meal. This is definitely one of the best Mexican food options in the Trussville area, unless you are willing to try Marisco's tequila bar, which is a much more authentic experience. However, when looking for text mix, this is the place to go...
