Tl;dr: do NOT try to host a major event here because the facilities representatives cannot be trusted to meet their part of the contract
We rented this place out for an all-day sporting event. ~150 people travelled from across the USA to play. As a part of our contract, facilities employees were supposed to arrive early in the morning to help line fields and the field lights were supposed to turn on before it got dark at 6:15pm.
The facilities people arrived almost an hour late, so the whole event was delayed by an hour. Players got up super early to be there on time, but they ended up doing nothing for an hour because of this delay.

We are liable for players who are injured due to unsafe playing conditions. We called the facilities representatives and they refused to provide lighting, even though we had explicitly PAID for it. The event had to be ended prematurely, so some games unfortunately could...

I have never felt unsafe but as with any park I remain aware of my...
Read moreNice park and great walking trail, but the county clearly does nothing to get rid of the rampant poison ivy that lines the walking trail on 75% of its length. Not as issue if you are walking it, but if you have a dog be careful where they are walking, peeing, etc. Some is so bad it is growing dozens of feet up many of the trees. They just replaced the paving on the trail. That would have been a great time to address the poison ivy but they didn't. Be...
