They have a large produce section with very inexpensive prices. You can get the caribe, jalapeno and serrano peppers for less than half the price that the major chains charge. The same holds true for the avocados and most of the other vegetables. They offer several brands of the Mexican styled fried flour tortillas and economically priced packages of sliced cheese in their deli case. The meat department is awesome, with an impressive variety of meats, some are marinated and they package it to your weight specifications.

They sell packages of several types of fresh salsa, as well as guacamole and refried beans. In the bakery department, they have a huge pastry case, that is stocked with beautiful servings of dessert items at affordable prices. Most of the groceries in this store are targeted for the needs of large hispanic families, who like to cook. So they don't offer everything that the other stores offer. There beer section mostly offers domestic and Mexican brands, without single twenty four ounce cans.

They have a full service kitchen, with delicious food available and you can smell the aroma way out in the parking lot. They have a dining area with plenty of tables/seats to enjoy your food and a salsa bar with lots of tasty condiments. El Herradero Supermarket is the Mexican Whole Foods minus the price tag! It's filled with fresh produce, fresh green corn tamales, baked goods a cheese selection to be rivalled OMG 🤤 The butcher station is so helpful! Elisa took time to assist me with finding the best tasting meat for my stew. I searched everywhere on my side of town for masa (not powered) and this was the one place that had it not frozen. You can find all your daily groceries at El Herradero as well as specialty needs. I almost forgot to mention that this seems to be a lunch stop for many also!. During my visit I noticed people dropping by around lunch hours and heading straight to the back. This was one of my mom's favorite places to shop I've been missing her a lot lately just being surrounded by the smells and my senses being awakened. Immediately brought me a sense of comfort for if for a moment. I will definitely be back I recommend El Herradero to anyone with grocery needs you may be...

Had a great experience here today I did my normal shopping for a family gathering later in the day when I visited the restaurant area for a Licuado. I had asked them for an item they did not have in their menu without any hesitation they asked me what I would like in the drink I gave the young lady the ingredients to my specifications and without any other questions or hesitation they simply went to the grocery area gather the items and started preparing it for me it was delicious tasted just like we make them at home. I have this drink on a daily basis during the morning for two reasons it tastes great and it's nutritious value is amazing. I was just surprised at how great of customer service they rendered me and overall everyone there fantastic place to get your groceries great people. Everyone was very helpful even helping me take groceries to my car.
