Beautiful park with a variety of trees! There’s a dog park that’s inside a fenced in area and several picnic tables throughout. There are also a few covered areas, like a pavilions, that have access to electric. I believe you can reserve these ahead of time online. There’s a couple public restrooms and there are trash cans throughout. The crew that takes care of the park stays on top of its cleanliness and you can tell they take pride in their work. There is also shaded parking areas and some baseball fields. If it had a solid water feature, it would be a 5 ⭐️ park. Being from Louisville, Kentucky, I am spoiled with the beautiful parks we have back home. All in all, I love Reid Park and go there when I can to relax and enjoy all the sounds or to people watch. UPDATE 05/02/2022: I found the water feature! Enter Reid Park from 22nd at the entrance after the Zoo entrance. They have a shaded parking area on the left and on the right of the parking area, you will see the pond. There is a small stream that runs into the pond. There are lots of ducks and other birds present. Reminder to never feed the ducks there! Very nice shaded areas around the pond and there are restrooms very close. Additionally at this entrance is a Cancer memorial. Very beautiful memorial! And then next to that they have horseshoe pits inside a fenced in area. A lot to see here at Reid Park! 5 ⭐️

Edit: Twice now, I've seen some beautiful herons here. They're fantastic, and I hope to keep seeing them. As a kid, I really liked coming here to look at the ducks, and after visiting recently, it's still great. It's a good, peaceful way to spend a weekend morning. There are tons of different kinds of ducks in the pond, and they seem congregate in two different areas. I really recommend taking kids to see them. There's something about ducks that kids love, and for me, that's turned into a lifelong love. However, as a general tip, feeding ducks bread is a bad idea. It's not good for them. Instead, try oats, corn, or peas. The ducks will love it all the same, and they'll be healthier too. As for the rest of the park, it seems well taken care of, and judging by the number of kids on the play structures at 8am, I'd guess those are pretty fun too.

Sadly, this is probably one of the only places that I found that has a inclusive swing. Most people usually see us coming in the wheelchair and step away from the swing. I strongly suggest bringing some sanitary wipes as the swing is dirty and if you have a medically complex child to get sick often, you might want to sanitize. If you have other kids, the main playground is pretty well. Done but definitely not wheelchair friendly. The picnic areas are pretty nice. Definitely well used. The bathrooms are mediocre. Usually pretty grimey . If you ask me. It is in the middle of Tucson so it’s a city park. I did see a few shady looking characters there, but they kept their own and watched from afar. I always keep mace anyway, just in case one is a bit loony and wants to cause problems.

It’s a pretty nice park. There are loads of things you can do- from roller skating, bike-riding, having picnics, watching the duck/turtle ponds, a kids playground (which, unfortunately- is FILLED to the brim with mask-less kids typically on the weekends, while we’re still in a pandemic) to barbecues, dog parks and so on. If you do plan on walking your dog here- BEWARE of the spiky plant balls that are all over the grass/ground. I recommend sticking to the dog park section if you want to avoid this. They’ll stick to your dogs fur/paws and it’ll be a pain to take them all out- especially if you have a long haired dog like mine. Overall, it’s a pretty chill place. We love hanging out by the streams/waterfall and taking in the scenery.

I love to bring my dog here, or I'll come by myself, or with friends. It's a fun place and a great park. There are many different faculties in the park including the U of A baseball stadium as well as two other public baseball stadiums. The ponds are beautiful and so are the birds but unfortunately people feed them A LOT, it's kind of disgusting, so they are fairly aggressive but nothing to really worry about. The management and cleaning crew do a great job of keeping the park clean and tidy. The swimming pool and zoo are not part of the park technically but they reside within it and are both beautiful. The people are friendly and it's a great place to visit especially while it's raining.
