My hubby and I went to Chili's specifically. As we were waiting for our table on the bench outside the restaurant, we were approached by a homeless woman as were others asking for money. Nothing against that lady, but I don't really expect that when dining out. We were seated and I ordered water WITH LEMON. I stress that because I had to ask for the lemon 3 times. I dislike plain water. We chose to have a couple of drinks in addition and really just wanted appetizers. We ordered the triple dipper and the nachos. That's where the fun began. We asked for the basic one that was $9.79. It says in the description that it comes with beef. Our server thought it was the addition of either chicken or beef which cost more obviously. I asked the difference and she didn't answer. I then read the menu item to her to get help and she said, "So you want the plain with no beef", I said, I want the $9.79 one that says it has beef.Is it ground beef?" No answer. She gave us the upcharged version. I wasn't thrilled. Her service was just ok.... she was nice enough, but as many servers these days, not very attentive. I find that with just 2 people, many are overlooked when they have a 4 top or more. It shouldn't be that way our money spends the same and I refuse to tip 20% or more for just ok service. So she received a just ok tip at 15%. As a person who was in that industry, I think that's more than fair. Also, if someone from Chili's could actually answer my question on those nachos, I'd really appreciate it! Will we be back? Yes....I just hope the service is better. The...
Read moreLet me say I would give it five stars but the congestion off the area is frustrating to me. Other than that it's really a five star experience. They have multiple shopping destinations here. Lowe's, Fry, 's, super Walmart, Good Will, Big Fives, 99 cent only store and more. Midvale Park Commercial Center center has many fast food options and a few restaurants too! Such as: Golden corral buffet, Carl's Jr., Burger King, a Mexican restaurant,. Midvale Park has a U.PS. store, a beauty supply store, Eye glasses and contacts supply, a dentist, Wells Fargo Bank, there is a bank in the Walmart too. The shopping center at Midval Park also has a Walgreens for your pharmacy needs. There is also a pharmacy in the Fry's grocery store and the Walmart. Midvalehopping center is an ever evolving, and growing shopping center so expect more better, more bigger things here! 😁😂🤣. Three one and only complaint I have is that the congestion here at times can leave you feeling a little inpatient besides that Midvale Park does have large parking lots with multiple entrance/exit points. It also has lots of handicap and wheelchair accessible parking spots. There sidewalks also have many wheelchair access points. I do highly recommend Midvale Park Commercial Center as an enjoyable and complete shopping...
Read moreI visited two places here. A GIANT Walmart store (so big that the electric carts that I use to get around in there, remind me to return the cart to the store in every corner INSIDE the store! Then some of them, believing they are outside the store, will beep in utter panic and then shutdown their mobility. Essentially, these devices can strand you in Walmart for being "outside" of Walmart.) and Chinese buffet place on the west side of the parking lot.
Walmart, I believe this one on West Valencia road is the biggest one in Tucson. Dealing with fellow customers is a relief to me. It's what passes for socializing in my life. Most people are friendly with me (Golden Rule) and are often, pleasantly, conversant. The people who work there, work very hard to get their jobs done. I have very rarely ran into any who got up on the wrong side of the bed.
Battery is short, right now. The buffet was pretty good. It's selection is a mix of Chinese and American recipes. I will usually just get the Chinese food. I have an "American" enough Diet as it is. The price is about $9-11 for lunch (I think...). So it's good for an occasional visit. I go once a month. I have to git and charge the phone.
Until next time. Life is whatever YOU want it to be. Unless you only accept what...
