Tractor Supply Co. — Attraction in Tucson

I just came in for a bag of dog and cat food as a friend of mine I came in with last week was able to purchase a bag of dog food and a bag of cat food for a penny each. So I came in this week to try it out myself. As im walking in im talking to my friend about it and I confirm it with the employee at the front. They confirmed they do a trial of dog food but not cat food. So we go to the isle to get the dog food and im reaching in my bag to see if I have my phone. One of the employees comes over to me and says,"do u need some help? Are u putting something in your bag?" Like seriously?? I come in here and spend a couple hundred dollars a month on gardening stuff and things for my house and pets. Anyway, he proceeds to follow me through the store as if im stealing something. As im walking up to the register another employee comes up and asks to take a picture of us for customer service. I then tell the employee how his co worker has been following me around harassing me and accusing me of stealing. He then says to me "well he's never wrong." So u just wanted to take a picture of us for customer service and now you're jumping on the bandwagon of accusing me of stealing? I have never been treated like this before... Ever!! Not to mention they all kept telling me how long they have worked there and they have never heard of the trial of cat food. I asked them to verify my friends email and see that they let her do it last week. Then they got really ugly and said, "well your friend got lucky. Either u want it or u don't." Tractor Supply u have lost my business thanks to your employee Junior who wanted to accuse me of stealing because I was looking for my phone. I will also be making sure none of my friends or family shop here either. I work in a place of business that takes customer service very seriously and all of your employees working this evening really need to be retrained on how to treat people. Especially Junior and the female at the register. How sad I bring a friend in telling them about your trial of dog food and this is how it ended up. So instead of gaining one more customer, you've lost my entire friends and...

For me, Tractor Supply is like the Walmart of Petsmarts and Petcos.

I go here to get bedding for my smaller animals because it's dirt cheap and safe for them. They enjoy the quality of bedding they receive and the frequency of bedding changes because its affordable to keep after them better.

I also go here because of the wide variety of brands and flavors they offer for small animals. They've got Timothy, Alfafa, Orchard Grass and Oat hay all rated by texture and sweetness or heartiness. They've got the base food which is incredibly nutrient dense at an incredibly attractive price and my guinea pigs almost prefer to eat just the base food over the hays. For small animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, etc, go to TSC if you want to give them the best nutrition on an affordable budget. I've also purchased both my chickens and ducks here (all in all six so far); all excellent quality, all very healthy, all lived to produce very well as of now.

Purchased my chicken coop here and also purchased one on Amazon; the quality of the coop purchased here has exceeded expectations. Whereas the Amazon coop has broken down, warped in many places, and has had to be reinforced, the TSC coop has lasted very well in the Arizona heat with no repairs as of yet.

Chicken and duck supplies outside of treats have been very affordable. Their fly traps have been a life saver and have improved the coop areas remarkably. Treats have always been and will always be something of a hassle but the protein density, you still can't complain of the price.

Store is clean, staff helps. It's evident that many staff can't stand working there. But that's all retailers and it really doesn't bother me any. Still, that depressed or angry ambience makes you feel like TSC sucks the life out of them so I prefer to just get in and out so I can get back to the animals.

Maybe a little love for the employees would help? Morale booster? Something. It would be a game changer for the retail...

Stopped in to pick up Diamond Naturals Large Breed Lamb Meal & Rice for my service dog. I saw all kinds of neat items in the bins and they said priced as marked, but only a couple of the maybe 40-50 items were marked, plus I couldnt get to most of the items with my cart and had to back out the isle because it was jammed with boxes and pallets. I mentioned to the cashier that there was a problem and that I would appreciate her bringing it to the managers attention, because I feel if it says "price as marked" and theres no mark, it must mean that it's free. An employee that was working nearby, spun around, told me that most of the items were marked and that I just told the manager and that it was being worked on. He said this in a rude, condescending and dismissive manner. I must have picked up 10-12 different items and not one had a price mark, I actually started picking up items just to see if they were marked. I actually only saw one item with a price tag, even when looking for them. I can even mention several things I looked at like, underhood rechargeable led light, machete, multi use hatchet, dewalt drill bits, light bar and light pods, vise grips, and I could go on.
