My first experience with Pizza Patron was quite good and I'm happy about that -- because I had to go on quite a drive to get to them. At this location, note that it is for carryout and delivery. There is no dining room and no dining service. This store is bright, clean, and colorfully painted. The staff were friendly, double-checked my order before making it, and the gentleman was quite enjoyable to talk with.
Now, about the food. I ordered an 18-inch chicken enchilada pizza, a one-topping large pizza, and the queso stix. For the one-topping pizza, I chose the diablo spicy pizza sauce. This sauce is what made this pizza good! It is actually quite spicy and flavorful. I think it's better than Pizza Hut's new spicy pizza, also. Anyway, the chicken enchilada pizza is quite exceptional with the poblano cream sauce, chicken, and onions. The queso stix were hot, cheesy, and, well, with bread, so you can't go wrong with that. The pizza crust is pretty average and I suppose that is one thing that could be improved upon.
Overall, a good job and a good place to get good pizza. I look forward to trying their other Latin-inspired pizzas. That's why I gave them a try, too, because anyone came make a supreme pizza. You have to make something special, delicious, and different to get my attention in...
Read moreThe hubby loved this pizza. I'm only giving it 4 starts because I wasn't such a big fan.
The pros: convenient to home great tasting and fluffy crust/dough with a touch of sweetness but NOTHING overwhelming fresh array of meats on the "Carnes" (mozzarella cheese, zesty pepperoni, ground beef, savory ham, spicy pork sausage and smokey chorizo) speciality pizza 14" = Large pizza for $10.81 Per the hubby, "doesn't give you heartburn because there isn't a lot of sauce" Offers more than just pizza (e.g. wings, drinks, cheese sticks, etc.)
My cons: Not too much sauce; I'd prefer more. I honestly couldn't even taste the sauce so I didn't like that. I mean, I love to sink my teeth into a pizza and have the pizza sauce coat my gums...but yeah- definitely not here, like a pizza pocket has more sauce than this entire pizza Only offers two sizes- 14" Large or an 18" XXL size They don't have anywhere to sit; it is set up like a Little Cesar's (you walk in, order, pay, sit on a few benches and leave) There is nothing "Latino-focused" about it except the name and some of the names...
Read moreThis was one of our favorite pizza places in Tucson, until sat night I went in . I pre ordered my pizza, arrived and only 1 pizza was made. So Adam asked a lady to help make my pizza, he needed help at the register, so he went to make my pizza, and the lady with a attitudecame to help me at register. , he DID NOT wear gloves, I watched him used his nasty hands put all my toppings on my pizza, I asked the lady why he wasn't wearing gloves, she says it's not mandatory... he was touching the trash, dirty rags. Cleaning counters with no gloves than decides to refill the containers with cheese and pepperoni. The cheese and pepperoni were put away underneath in a proper manner. Until Adam opened them up and put his nasty hands in the bag of cheese and the pepperoni container. And puts it away again, like he didn't just contaminate everything. Both Adam and the lady had every excuse as to why it's ok to not wear gloves. I paid for the pizza before. So I should of gotten a refund. I gave the pizza to a homeless and let them know how it was made ....worst customer service ever, and very disgusting...
