I attended this church as a visitor with a friend a few times. The church is grand, plenty of parking + seating available. The area is clean. They offer a separate building, “kid zone” where the kids are able to attend age appropriate classes, worship and play. I felt safe in allowing my 5&6 year olds to participate in the classes as they have visible sheriff officers as security in the building. They offer a splash pad zone, as well as a cafe where they have water, variety of snacks and pastries, juices, Italian sodas and coffees. I enjoyed the liveliness of their worship, and the pastor preaches in a way you can relate and understand. They are active within the local communities to each campus; providing groups. From minimal understanding, these groups offer ministry, connection, support, prayer and guidance in getting connected within serving the community!
My main complaint or negative view of this church is during one of my visits, I had an individual who serves in the church as a greeter, approach me mid service and asked me to leave the room because they are a “live recorded service” and my 13 month old squirming around and making noises due to being uncomfortable/ trying to nurse to sleep was “too loud and would carry over for the live viewers at home.” I’m a member of a separate local SDA Christian church that also does live viewing and have never been requested to leave service due to this. I also feel that his minimal amount of noise in a sanctuary that large, would not impact their “live service” in any negative light. I felt that this was wildly inappropriate and discriminates against families being able to participate in the message. This alone made me feel that, though the church has many opportunities—they are not personable or family oriented with their congregation. Due to this alone I would not make this my home church, but visiting time to time would suffice...
Read moreFirstly, the first two comments or reviews for this church won’t belong to Zion Church, first of all Zion church it’s a church that is located in the east side as you going to Mount lemon, everything is in Spanish and their building is not that big as one of the reviews mentioned, I believe they are mistaken for another Zion Church that is is located on the north west of Tucson, Zion Church in the east side and is a very firm in biblical teaching from Pastor Francisco Dominguez, their leadership is very respectful very polite and they’re always have everything with excellence, they have cameras media system I will say the top of the line, they have different classrooms for different ages and their teachers are well trained. The place overall is very clean very excellent in their service, parking lot and all the servants wear mask. They also have a YouTube channel with weekly teachings applicable to every day life situations. The sanctuary is carpeted with and not too high platform with a screen on the center and all musicians are professionals in their worship. I will recommend 100% these church if you’re looking for a healthy and no pressure gospel...
Read moreZion City Church is a Jesus following church. A great place for everyone to come and find a place to worship God, listen to the word, and meet a new family. This is the only location and is a spanish speaking church with translation as needed. As part of this community, my family and I are very appreciative of the work by Pastors Francisco and Gloria.
