I took my daughter and myself for a mani/pedi before school starts. An older woman did my mani/pedi. She took her time and did a good job for the most part (I just got clear on my fingers and it peeled off the next day - which not THAT big of deal because you can’t see it anyway). Foot and hand massage was great. The problem came at the end when she charged me the wrong price - by double - also NOT A BIG DEAL -it was a mistake that is easily corrected. The problem was the younger woman (Owner maybe?) came over and berated her in their home language (oh I could tell it wasn’t good) then looked at me and gestured “she’s crazy” by circling her finger by her temple. I the. Said it was no big deal it’s just a mistake that can easily be fixed but she didn’t stop. She then rudely told her to go away so the older woman went back to her current client, humiliated. The younger woman then looked at me and said “she’s old” clearly appalled or disgusted she would make such a mistake. I felt so bad for the woman who did my nails and was embarrassed I may have caused her this humiliation from her boss because I pointed out the error (she had forgotten to use my gift certificates, but had torn them in half as if used). I did make sure to walk over to her before I left and tell her what a good job she did. I won’t go back based on the behavior of the younger woman towards the woman who made the mistake. She was in no way kind and I won’t watch that abuse anymore. Disgusting. Amazing how behavior, even by someone who looks beautiful on the outside can have such ugliness on the inside.
** As for your response that you were tired….. it was still not a kind response to your employee/co-worker who was doing the best she could. She just made a mistake that could easily be corrected, and I wasn’t upset with her. It was a mistake! No, you didn’t SAY she was crazy, but you absolutely gestured it. You DID say “she’s old” in perfect English, as if that explained her mistake. Tired or not, you were rude and unkind to her - I hope she’s not a relative of yours as well and that’s just how you treat her. Just remember someday you will also be “old” as you say………..how would YOU want...
Read moreThis was a very poor experience. I have gone twice. The first time I got a young woman who did not speak English to do the pedicure. She holds up a sign listing extra services and sort of grunts to ask you if you want it. I accepted. She cut my nails down to the quick (very unattractive). Fortunately the owner did my hands and he did a good job. I was in need of a pedicure a couple of weeks later and went back, hoping I would get someone else. I did not. This time, she chopped my nails below the quick, and scraped my feet vigorously for 15 minutes with a file and callous remover, until the skin was abraded and the nerves painfully exposed. Her "massage" consisted of a VERY rough, painful manipulating of my legs and feet. She sprained my toes, crunched the bones in my feet, and cruelly dug her thumb into the plantar tendon. When I cried out in pain, She just looked at me and said "teeko?" Tickle? I was in pain and told her she needed to stop. She would not. She damaged the joints in my toes so badly that they still cause me extreme pain and I am going to have to go to someone else to fix my feet (if they even can). When she was finally done, my nails were gone and only a tiny square, about 1cm big was in the middle of my big toes. It was awful. My toes still hurt. Then I was gullible enough to let her do my hands. I was expecting to get the owner again..The nails were just as I wanted them, all she had to do was file them. Instead she took the cutters and chopped them on all sides. I screamed at her to stop but she just kept cutting. I should have left. Now I have a nice set of ingrown fingernails. Again, I am going to have to go to another salon to have them repaired. I would not recommend using this salon, unless the owner attends you. It is a painful experience. Not to mention paying someone else to correct the...
Read moreThe last time I came here was 8 years ago and at that time, this place was hands down my top place to get my pedicures! I took a long hiatus from going to nail salons after health concerns for 8 years and just went back yesterday. Super friendly and kind. They really take care of you and do such a good job! The owners are always friendly. My favorite is they make you feel at home while they do your nails and give you the space to talk or just read quietly if you choose. I absolutely love my pedicure and love how careful they were to make sure they were perfect! I’ll be coming here...
