We love going to the Galaxy Theater in Tulare Ca. If you are looking for a great movie night I highly recommend going to a Galaxy Theater. The seats are nice and roomy, very comfortable; you can even recline your feet and back. Plus there is a large walkway for easy access to go to the snack bar or restroom. Which makes it worth the drive and small extra charge...we don't even bother going to the Theaters in town anymore because who wants to sit for long periods of time in an old uncomfortable chair, smashed like sardines while the person next to you is sweating or farting in your bubble! Only to get up after the movie to achy joints and back pain...no thanks! When ordering the tickets online you get to pick your seats, only downside is you're paying a $3.50 convenience fee. This price is ridiculously too high since you're not getting an actual ticket. So for you scrap book people, if you are wanting a real ticket for the scrap book just buy it at the ticket booth. (Or print at the machines outside). Also we have had the mishap of reaching our seats only to see they are all torn up, falling apart, not functioning, covered in duct tape, and even dirty. Keep in mind it's very few seats in this large Theater like that. The overall theater is usually nice and clean, but Friday night is the worst. Especially on big movie premier night's. They need to have the staff assigned to they're positions for better flow. Each staff member given they're main positions and a secondary position for downtime or backups. This would eliminate confusions, keep staff motivated and help to insure a smoother and productive team. The bathroom is very large, which is nice. Usually it's kept cleaned and stocked. However trash cans in the restroom and overall building always seem to be full or overly full. Snack bars have a large selection, even Wine and Beer amount other things. *My only complaint is you're paying a lot for a combo and if you're like me you want to get my money's worth. It says you can get a refill on your large drinks and popcorn, so if I am watching a late movie and want to take my drink and popcorn refill with me I should be able to. After all when you are paying over $25+ for it there should be no reason at all to refuse to refill your customers popcorn and drinks. So why wouldn't you leave a popcorn machine on keeping it warm for your last guest and a drink machine on? I'm sorry after you have dumped the popcorn into a trash bag for the night it's lost its appeal, not to mention it's a trash bag!! If they were ment to eat out of the bag company would probably put "Food Grade Quality/Safe) on it's package...

On Halloween, after a long day of clowning, I decided to reward myself by seeing the new Tom Cruise Jack Reacher Movie at my new favorite luxury theatre. However, after I bought my ticket and went inside to watch Tom’s latest and greatest, I was told by theatre employee, Stephanie, that I couldn’t proceed because my Clown makeup was against their policy for “Face Paint” of any kind. This was odd to me as any other place of business has no issue, so far, in all my years of my Halloween tradition. So, I challenged this by asking if I could see their policy. I was told to wait and Stephanie returned with a supervisor, “Arthur” who said there was no “official” ruling on this matter, they simply reserved the right to refuse service for any reason. I asked if they were willing to document their reasoning. They declined. I offered to document this for them and they could simply sign their names. Again, they declined. At least, I got the name of a regional contact person, “Freddie,” and wrote him on 31OCT2016. He never replied. So here we are. From what I’ve read of your reviews, there’s some other customer service issues as well. I must say that I’ve never had a problem with any theatre. Going to the movies has always been a “no brainer.” When did this activity get so complicated? It’s fine for any business to impose rules, convictions, or their business ethics on their customers. However, businesses usually have the fortitude to stand by their rules in writing. Customers have a right to know a businesses’ preferences ahead of time so that other options can be explored, like any other theatre on the planet that could care less about costumes, makeup, or other appearance.
Lastly, I’ve read a few replies to your brilliant postings from a theatre rep, encouraging a few of you to contact her outside of our user-reviewer community. I will not do that. I was more than fair by contacting them (thru Freddie) first and waiting for over two months and...
Read moreMy husband and I went in yesterday apparently the system was down. We were told we had to pay cash and it would be first come first serve on the seating due to the system not working. We go into the movie we sit down and we’re told we had to get out of the seats they paid for in such a rude way and I told them we’re just seating how we were informed when purchasing the tickets. So they sit down then more people come in and asked them to move then they went off telling the couple how we stole their seats cussing. The other people go down as they weren’t being rude they asked and then we were told to move by an employee and to sit in another spot so we did then we were told we couldn’t sit there either over all wasted an hour waiting for the movies to start and ended up having to ask for a refund so our date was definitely ruined and left cursed out for something we were told by the employee in the box when purchasing our tickets mind you we have four kids and can never get a babysitter to go out on a date alone with my husband mind you we chose to go to Tulare instead of watching it here in Visalia where we live...
