What can I say. I went to Kay, Daniels, Don Roberto's to find my wife a 20 year ring. I was not looking for anything special to start... Nothing jumped out at me, nor did the staff at those places want to hear what I had to say. I think they were all used to engagement rings only or young people... Got tired of looking and a buddy suggested I go see Melinda at Zales... After explaining to her the occasion- and anniversary, she asked a few questions about my wife's style, her persona, etc. She picks up a ring with 3 diamonds and showed it to me. Ok, I can dig this one. She told me the meaning of each stone, and it made since. Fast forward a couple weeks, I gave it to my wife. She said the exact same things about the stones! This one is for me, the smaller two for the kids... She loved it, and wears it daily. After 20 years I thought it would be an easy find, but it was much easier with Melinda taking the time to listen to exactly what I was looking for. The sales woman that helped us was extremely friendly, helpful, and had a smile and was always willing to show is whatever we wanted to see. The woman behind the counter with the uneven shaved head is the reason for the lack of the other 3 stars. Everytime the friendly sales woman asked what I can only assume is her manager?, she was given an answer dripping in disregard. The "manager " had the worst attitude I've encountered in a long time, so much so that it made me physically uncomfortable and I felt terrible for the sales woman for having to work under someone like that. Managers should lead by example, but in this case thank God the sales woman has chosen not to follow that example. I'd liked to say I'd be willing to give them my business, but if I walked in. And saw that woman I would turn around...
Read moreA year or two ago, I took my wedding ring to Zales because one of the small diamonds fell out and I wanted to get it repaired. While there one of the female employees told me that there was nothing she could do because I hadn’t sent it in during COVID to be inspected and cleaned. I informed her I wasn’t comfortable sending it off in the mail and that’s why I had chosen not to do that. She straight up refused to help me, wouldn’t even look up my profile to see if I had a warranty on my ring… today I went in and spoke with Melinda, she pulled up my file and informed me that yes in fact I could get my ring repaired. I had the lifetime warranty the whole time! She took her time to explain what was going to happen with my ring and we got everything squared away.thank you Melinda for being kind and helping me!
