Boston Avenue United Methodist is truly the most beautiful church ever designed. The congregation goes out of its way to make visitors feel welcome. Everyone is welcome at Boston Avenue United Methodist church. There are 5 Bell choirs. There are choirs for childten at age 5 to age 18. Along with adult Chancel Choir. Tulsa Theater works is a free threater program. Tulsa Sistema is our city wide youth orchestra starting at 3rd grade until 12th grade. There is also a free dental clinic Smiles of Faith which is a partnership with Historic Vernon AME, Centenary UMC, Morning Star Baptist and Metropolitan Baptist.There are guided tours on Sunday at 1215pm and thete is also a self guided walking tour inside the church. Boston Avenue United Methodist church is a welcoming community. There is also a Blessing Bos that is fillwd up 3 times a week to help the neighbors with groceries. Boston Avenue has a very larg missions program. Twice a yesr special offerings are taken for Advent and Easter. Some of the organizations are Vernon AME, Cooksom Hills ,Family Promise and Rise Against Hunger. I would rate on a scale 1 to 10 an 11 stars....

It is a magnificent example of Art Deco architecture, perhaps one of the finest in the world. It is a striking landmark on the Tulsa skyline both day and night. While the hotel is pricey by Tulsa standards this view alone makes it all worthwhile. I've had the privilege of visiting beautiful churches/abbeys in Europe, specifically Germany (in fact, in '74 was married in a Schoeningen FRG church built in 1300's w/former priests buried in the walls), France (Notre Dame), England (Westminster Abbey), The Vatican, as well as Washington National Cathedral in D.C. but, in my opinion, from an architectural perspective Boston Avenue United Methodist Church would hold its own with any of them.
