Holy indeed, the Fr. held his he,art up the whole service.! The eucharist was almost metallic from the holiness of it. You could tell He was here and filling to he,arts of the Parish. The only complaint is as usual and unavoidable in the diocese of Tulsa.
I could not imagine Christ saying black sheep, Indian sheep, or even women sheep! These divisions are tearing deeply at the heart of our Lord. They are clearly of the enemy and our current leadership is not only misleading the flock, for even considering them, he is handing it down to the destruction of the faithfull.
Christ didn't pray for the money-changers, He made a whip!!
If a human isn't human on a cellular level than you're perspective is biased towards indifference. What did St. JP2 say about indifference? The opposite of Love!!
I would most definitely attend at the tremendous work of the Fr. if only for the lifting of his he,art. Setting an example that few even realize then actually say they do and then don't do during mass!
The chapel itself is nothing less than spectacular. You would have an amazing drone video attached to this post however, the previous Fr. I spoke with was fearful and rather false!(Fear isn't disobedience?) He didn't have on white at all and might have considered himself of something as he acknowledged I was from Christ however, ignored the Holy Spirit prompt! I was fortunate to identify him with a phrase Christ shared with us through a Parishioner yet, for this phrase only went to show his heart wasn't here for Christ! The Parishioner loved it, as it was utilized to insult the homily of another Fr./Parish. Great inspiration from the pulpit, division again!! Again the Fr. was not a part of this days rites.
They truly strove to achieve Holy even strained like so many catholic Parishes from heretic leadership that plainly ignore the prayer of Christ for unity with the world's perspective that had infected the hearts of the faithful leadership. Reliant in/on man, I know this for surity, as I thanked a beautiful nun, in attendance, for her prayers and the reaction revealed this had NEVER/seldom been done.
Maybe it was a new sister.?!
My previous Sunday obligation one person knelt during communion, not while receiving the host... the whole time it took for the Parish! This is the future our leadership envisions, under the clause likely of man claiming its unhealthy to be kneeling! Bad for the knees, ya know!
You really don't deserve that 4th star however, that lifted he,art from the presiding Fr............ brought me to tears, literally regret not having my handkerchief, weeping! Tyvm.
The security didn't ignore the Holy Spirit and joined a prayer list that never ends and was given 2 of my most prized possessions. Ty Brian for making me feel at home just before I thought I would have no home in Tulsa!
If you wish to pray for me, instead pray for my prayer list. It's a heavy burden to do alone and any prayers would be greatly appreciated.
May the grace and peace of our Lord be multiplied upon all those who found the time to read this and this beautiful...
Read moreBeautiful Mass! When people point out that it’s possible to have a reverent Novus Ordo Mass, they’re describing Mass at Holy Family Cathedral. There was incense, about six altar boys, Gregorian chant, and a thoughtful homily from one of the three (?) resident priests, all of whom are fairly young. Lots of women in chapel veils and lots of fussing infants. It’s a sight for sore eyes.
The Holy Family community is evidence that the Catholic faith is alive and well, particularly in the younger generations. The congregation is startlingly young, mostly families with lots of children and parents in their twenties and thirties. The rector told my husband that they’ve had 500 families join the parish in the last three years. There are also 60 catechumens/candidates in their RCIA program. After Mass, we were invited to join the community for coffee and locally-made donuts in the basement. We’re only visiting Tulsa for a week, but if and when we come back, we’ll be sure to attend Mass at Holy...
Read moreThis is a very good church and has been one of my favorite churches since I was a teenager. I did hear some people complain that they thought the clergy here is ‘too conservative’ but that’s what drew me to this parish in the first place and they are great people. Plus one time there was a dark winter night when I was just starting to walk home from the drawing classroom at the Thomas K. McKeon Center for Creativity at TCC down the street where I was working on an 18 by 24 charcoal composition and it started to suddenly rain heavily, fearing for the safety of my portfolio I walked up to the side of this church and ducked in the side door because of a gut feeling I had. The parishioners and clergy welcomed me and I stayed until the rain subsided moments later, saving the hard work in my portfolio from water damage. Thank you Holy...
