ORU was the best years of my life to-date. I experienced a decent college education, awesome friendships, spiritual deepening, and exposure to so many new concepts. Forget all the negative reviews you've read so far. No, things haven't been super-duper in ORU's history, not even now probably. But it's amazing how much good was present after all, as anyone who attended prior to ORU's new era now would tell you. The education wasn't the greatest, but I chose to get undergrad and grad degrees anyway. The leadership then was quite fundamental and reactionary. The runaway-debt was a flat-out disgrace. In some ways these aspects tested the very faith of some people, especially students; and it's easy to know how one fared by the kinds of comments he or she leaves!

But despite its shortcomings, I deeply loved ORU and cherished my time there. I still love it and think of it often.

Anyone considering ORU now, well it's a whole new ball game. A new respectability has risen over the university like a morning sun. Intransigent leadership is out; reasonable rules and guidelines favor students; there is growth, improvements abound; new buildings are rising; and the monster of debt is no more. Oral Roberts, the founder, was able to die in peace because his vision was given new wings, made possible by the Green Family's incredible generosity and leadership.

I'm excited about the direction of the university now. I speak for so many that would say we wish we could relive our ORU careers on today's ORU campus. I am absolutely thrilled with my experience at Oral Roberts University! From the moment I stepped onto the campus, I was welcomed with open arms into a community that values both academic excellence and spiritual growth. The Godly atmosphere is palpable, and it's clear that the university is dedicated to fostering a deep spiritual connection in addition to top-notch education.

Oral Roberts University is not just a place you go to study, it's a HOME. Ever since I got admitted into this amazing university, to going through the enrollment processes, to starting my classes in the Fall B online Semester in 2022, till this moment where I'm preparing to come in-person to this great school, what I've experienced so far has been beyond words - it's impeccable and mind blowing. The lecturer we had during the Fall semester was super duper nice. She groomed us, accepted us, and our differences in cultures, backgrounds and societal upbringings made everything more beautiful. She prayed for us, loved us, encouraged us and I just kept thinking to myself that, if my online classes could be this excellent and spirit-filled, how amazing will experiencing this physically be?
