It's been two months since I tried to eat here, but someone I shared my story with told me to write a review since they'd had the same experience. I love Thai food. Nothing goes back. I love it all. Pad See Ew is always good. In Seatlte, Dallas, Germany, Denmark. It's always the same. Not here.. The dish arrived and it smelled 'off' ... and a little like a stinky foot. And the noodles were not the normal wide rice noodles like I'm used to seeing, but fettucccini noodles (hard to see in the photo but I think you can tell). And the entire dish was very soupy; the sauce was so thin it didn't coat the noodles like we're all used to seeing but runs off to the bottom of the plate so it's really soupy. This picture was AFTER I had ladeled a bunch of the liquid off into a side dish. The taste was NOTHING like any Pad See Ew I've ever had. And I love this dish everywhere I travel. So when the gal finally came back, she saw that the entire dish was there and didn't ask a thing. I asked, "What is this?" as I was SURE that they had brought me the wrong thing. They said it was Pad See Ew, and I told her (with a sense of humor, trying to break the ice) that it wasn't like any Pad See Ew I'd ever seen before and noted that it didn't taste right and had an 'off' flavor and smell. She actually acknowledged that she was from California and that it wasn't like anything she'd seen before either, but said that is how it is made in Tulsa. Um .... I had to nearly beg for a replacement meal and said I'd try the Pad Thai. It arrived, and I was thankful until I saw that it too was a weird version of Pad Thai, also in runny sauce that made the dish a bit soupy. At that point, I ate one of the chicken satay skewers that were exceptionally overcooked and came with an odd peanut sauce that was in a 'scoop' form (literally, it was a firm scoop standing up on the plate -- should have taken a picture). It seemed like a peanut sauce base they didn't know they needed to turn into peanut sauce. I finally gave up as it was clear this was not a normal Thai restaurant. I told them, "I just didn't care for either" and left them intact (aside from a one bite sample from each of them) and they said they'd only charge me for the chicken and ONE of the dishes I didn't eat. Their attitudes were terrible, and because I just wrote this one off as a total loss and didn't argue, I'm confident they didn't care. They were, in fact, a little aggravated that I didn't want to pay for both of the dishes. NEVER again. I am bewildered by the good reviews. Maybe their curry dishes reviewed positively are the way to go. Never having had 'bad' Pad See Ew anywhere, this was completely unexpected. Very odd. Next time, I'll drive on to OKC for Thai. Don't say I didn't warn you! :)

I had a friend recommend Thai Village, and I finally got around to giving it a shot. Prior to my visit, I looked at the reviews and photos. After reading all the great reviews on their peanut curry, I knew what I wanted to try before walking through the door. I was not disappointed. The curry tasted great and the portion size was filling with some leftover Togo. My wife decided on their pepper steak and it was great too. We look forward to returning in the near future. Update: Near future came sooner than expected. We visited again just 3 days later. I opted to get the same dish, peanut curry, but thai hot. It was just as good as before but with a little more kick. Their thai is not overwhelming but I also enjoy very spicy food often. My wife ordered their Thai curry noodles with chicken. She said she would definitely order it again, she said the same thing about their pepper steak she ordered on our original visit. I did have a small sample of her Thai curry noodle dish and it was really good and would be something I wouldn't hesitate to order. Just like our first visit, everyone was friendly and took good care of us. During slower periods they were wiping down tables and cleaning the floors to keep everything clean and inviting, which was exactly what we experienced the first visit.

Enjoyable, Excellent, Extraordinary! Description of the food in order: Tom Yum, Satay, and Gang Keaw Warn (Green Curry) What stood out about the Tom Yum was the spices. I am sure there were some traditional herbs and spices that I have never had before. It was a very flavorful soup loaded with beef. Enjoyable! The Satay was a generous serving of skewered, curry flavored chicken and a delicious peanut-based dipping sauce. Excellent! And finally, the Green Curry. Wow! My wife said she could drink a glass of the broth with a straw! Extraordinary! I’m thinking that the lady working the floor was an owner. She was handling the dining area by herself! She was a no fun, get’r done worker. You can’t hire someone like that these days with that work ethic. No lost movement in her effort and no time wasted. I could see how her fast, sufficient, effective service could be misconstrued as less than amiable. Maybe a little terse. Possibly, that accounts for some reviewer’s reference to service. Ignore it, the service is good! The menu is extensive. Great lunch options. Some of the best Thai food we have had in Tulsa! Recommended!

Got to the restaurant. They were busy and there was nowhere to sit. They told us we could wait or come back. We chose to wait. Us = my fiance and I. We asked for menus while we were standing there, waiting.

After about 20 minutes, we got seated. Some people left and instead of immediately clearing off the table so we could sit down, the wait staff was entering stuff on the register and went to the back and stayed there for a while and etc... About 5-7 minutes after someone left, the table was finally cleared and we were seated.

There were 2 waitresses. One asked us what we wanted to drink and we waited for about 10 minutes. The other one came and asked us what we wanted to drink, we repeated the order. She brought us our drinks. Don't know what happened to the first one that asked. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Straws and silverware came later.

We asked questions about the menu items and selected our food. I ordered pad Thai with chicken and a seafood combo. The menu says calamari, shrimp, crab and scallops. What I got was about 5 SMALL scallops, 2 normal shrimp, no distinguishable calamari (apparently they chop theirs up very small) and a little bit of imitation crab. Not what was promised. Definitely not worth $15 per plate. I sent it back. Wasn't worth it at all. You can go to Walmart or Sam's and buy 2 lbs of shrimp for $15... With this "combo" you get two shrimp, period.

Fiance didn't receive his order for about half an hour after I got my two. We were wondering if his order was forgotten about all together. When his order finally arrived, it was the wrong dish.

For those of you who decide to live dangerously and eat here at all, you should be aware, this place has TWO "princess shrimp" on the menu... One is with curry and coconut milk. One is with some mystery brown sauce. Fiance wanted the one with coconut milk... He received the other one. When this was pointed out to the waitress, she literally rolled her eyes and walked off.

After that, we just got up and left. Food was left on the table and we decided to just go to the Indian restaurant down the road, called Tandoor Express. Their food is wonderful and their service is ALWAYS good. We were welcomed with open arms and they kept the restaurant open a little past closing, so we could eat inside.

Don't come to Thai Village, unless you like extremely poor service and not getting what you ordered. The food came out slow and wasn't what was represented on the menu... Or was wrong completely. They treated us poorly after leaving us to stand around.. It's tiny inside and just not worth it. It seriously smells like boiling a broccoli and not fragrant Thai spices. Go to Lana Thai or pretty much...

Horrible customer service, salty skimpy food, and rude management.

My fiancee and I went in, hoping for a nice and pleasant lunch, but everything about this experience was horrible. My fiancee is big on Thai cuisine and she cooks them often and I have to say this place is nowhere close to authentic Thai food. The fresh rolls were gigantically wrapped with tons of lettuce, skimpy amount of noodles, and a few shrimps. Our satay were overcooked, dried out, exteremly salty, and had no curry flavor whatsoever, as they were "supposedly" marinated in a coconut curry marination. My fiancee took a bite out of the beef salad and chicken panang curry, and stopped eating immediately and didn't touch them anymore. The beef salad has a pungent flavor and both of her dishes and mine included (cashew chicken) were overly salty. Your mouth will burn with all the salt and MSG that are used to season the dish. We brought this to our waiter's attention and his response was "Oh, too salty" and walked away, showing no sign of concern, or offering to recook our dishes. We brought this to management's attention and the reply we got was " That's how everyone likes it. It's disrespectful of you to degrade our food like that." With my fiancee not eating her food and the experience being unpleasant, we offer to pay for what we only ate (the fresh rolls and my cashew chicken), but management looked very bothered and continued to argued with us, stating that "My fiancee had touched the food, wheather she ate it or not, we are responsible for paying for it" making it seemed like we were responsible for the whole situation. This will be our first and last time here and we will be sure to let relatives and friends know about this horrible experience and rude...
