Salon on Harvard — Attraction in Tulsa

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at your salon. I had made an appointment for my only day off and due to other commitments, I visited the salon to see if I could reschedule my appointment for a later time.

I was driving my husband’s welding F-350 truck, which is a large vehicle, so I parked at the back of the salon. As I entered, a staff member immediately approached me in a manner that made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. He seemed skeptical about my appointment and his attitude suggested that he was judging me based on my appearance and the vehicle I was driving.

When I explained my need to reschedule, he informed me that it was not possible to change the appointment for the day and that I would be charged a $35.00 cancellation fee, despite my request being made two hours before the scheduled time. This response was not only unaccommodating but also unfair, especially given the advance notice I provided.

I left the salon feeling unwelcome and judged, which is not the experience I expect from a professional establishment. I would appreciate it if you could review this matter and consider revising your policies to be more flexible and customer-friendly. Additionally, I believe your staff could benefit from training in customer service to ensure all clients feel valued and respected.

I’ve been looking for a great haircut and a neighborhood salon for quite awhile now, with nothing quite hitting the spot. Driving by on Harvard, I spotted this gorgeous spot and gave it a try. A walk-in on a Monday is a long shot at most salons, I tried a few today with no luck. Luckily Kimberly had a cancellation today and was able to fit me right in. The salon is beautiful in classic black and cream colors with gold accents. I was offered water coffee or tea upon arrival. I explained what I was looking for and showed Kimberly a strange video of me with a great haircut I loved, she was patient and kind and definitely understood the assignment.
