Read moreInteresting little park in Tulsa hills. Views are very obscured but overlook the Arkansas river and Tulsa from a southwesterly vantage point. Went in the morning so unfortunately the sun was in my face trying to view from the points. I found the trails poorly marked. In fact there are large amounts of unmarked trails crisscrossing the whole place. Not a huge deal because the park is small and it would be hard to get lost here. The trail is very sandy. A fine, dusty sort of sand like dry silt. The rocks are very square shaped and can be slippery in the morning dew. Place smelled. Likely the waste water treatment plant unfortunately nearby. Had a weird amount of water bottles left everywhere and clearly suffers from it's proximity to lots of humans. A good resource for those living nearby to walk and jog or bike. The lower part has a paved bike path which, after crossing a railroad goes along part of the Arkansas river. Brown, murkey and shallow, polluted. Saw some cool flowers, and mushrooms and insects a frog and something slithered. Where are the birds? Only a few. Forget about quietude as the sounds of the highways are ever present. Overall 2/5 stars. Wouldn't go out of my way to visit this place as an out of towner, but good resource for those who live nearby. Also didn't see...
Read moreAfter reading the comments can clarify things I love turkey mountain (not hill) Lived by it majority of my life. First Restrooms. . . Once they made it official trail not just locals knowing it was beautiful. It grew fastest. So they have multiple ones but it's not giant so the restrooms are available just not as many or it would be a restroom trail Parking. . There is parking that they can fit (see above). Remember it's nature. If you want to enjoy can't take too much away from it to add parking, restrooms so on Picnic tables so on See above!! Last but not least It's in the city unfortunately people are people. Any place you go in United States has versions if vagrants. Sorry wish there wasn't. As to do with comment about being told not to smoke seq. of Title 63 of Oklahoma statutes, commonly referred to as the “Smoking in Public Places and Indoor Workplaces Act.” B. Smoking or using marijuana shall be prohibited on all city property including vehicles, buildings, parks and other facilities. Graffiti I hate but hard to keep up with people that think it's fun to do it for the city crew. They do try
