Coshocton Lake Park Aquatic Center — Attraction in Tuscarawas Township

Loved the pool, my kids (ages 4,5, & 8) had a great time & so did I. The reason I’m rating low is because of an experience with a lifeguard. My 5 year old can swim & was big enough to go down the water slide, the first time, I went down before her so I could catch her at the bottom. The second time, though, she insisted on going first and me going right behind. I thought that since there was a lifeguard actually in the water right where they come out of the slide, she would be fine. However, when I was coming towards the end of the slide I saw my daughter struggling to get to the surface due the jets coming from the slide holding her under, I couldn’t get to her fast enough & when I pulled her out she said “thank you for saving me mommy” I was so scared and that turned to disbelief when I realized the lifeguard was standing 3 feet away and never once acknowledged my daughter struggling. Granted, she was only stuck for about 15 seconds until I got out, I assumed the lifeguard was there for that reason. There was actually another mom trying to get the lifeguards attention saying “GET HER GET HER” when I came out of the slide and the lifeguard didn’t acknowledge her either. Pretty sad honestly, they are having such problems with staffing. Check their website or call ahead for opening times and which parts of the pool are open. We drove from Zanesville to find out the pool was only open from 1-5pm and the slides, and deep end were closed because of the staffing. Very disappointed. We missed the sign saying the deep end and slides were closed, so after seeing all the tape and closed signs we walked back to the front for a refund, we hadn't even gotten in yet or been there 5 mins. We were denied and we were told absolutely no refunds. We stayed the rest of the day but with all those things closed it's really only enjoyable for...

Lots of things for little kids.... the jungle gym in the water was a big hit! The mushrooms you can go under another big hit with the kids. Concession stand has great food and there's a playground right outside the gate if the kids need a break from the water. You can take chairs.... coolers even seen some people with a canopy.
