I don't think I've made a review yet but I'd like to. I absolutely love this Gamestop been coming here for 8yrs as a regular customer. I love the atmosphere its welcoming, the staff are some pretty amazing people too. As someone with ptsd this is the main location that I frequent. I did witness a rude Customer that was wearing green and cussing at said staff to open. The man in green was beating on the door and causing a scene, disrupting the atmosphere before entering the store. I was quite shocked and in disbelief at what was happening, but the staff handled the situation very well and professionally. The store wasn't open yet when he beat on the door. They were 1 minute off from opening, but that is not a reason to yell at the staff that is on duty. Then the customer wearing green proceeded not to buy anything. I have witnessed a few rude and entitled customers very sporadically but not enough to deter me from going here. However I will continue going to this particular location because out of all the ones in Tyler, I would rather spend my money here. Not because of the convenience, but due to the fact that this location has always been helpful with my gaming decisions and needs...
Read moreI had some terrible customer service issues here in the past, but the workers are generally decent. GameStop has a nice selection of newer console games, but the selection of handheld, PC and older games is pretty lacking.
Don't ever sell games to GameStop, it's not worth it under any circumstances. Honestly, I'd probably only ever buy a used game here - I once bought a game right after launch, and they took a disc out of a sleeve and put it in the case. No plastic wrap or anything. Also, their stupid price stickers are hell to remove. They've ruined part of the appeal of buying hard copies over digital, since I don't wanna display sticky boxes.
Overall, I'd say that GameStop made me more cynical about the game industry, but they're convenient and their used prices are nice. Just don't get suckered into selling them your games, kids are...
Read moreThey've gotten a bit better, but many of the associates are still disrespectful. I think Gamestop ruins their workers' passion for video games.
Update: I went in here the other day. It had been a few years since the last time I was there. The store is more strange now than anything. The associate had a friend or somebody hanging out in the store. It took almost 20 minutes for me to get the one item I wanted. The associate's friend acted for a moment like he was going to grab the expensive item I just bought. Don't touch other people's stuff. The creepiness of it all made me never want to go back again. They were friendly in a sense, but the whole ordeal would make anyone...
