I’ve been wanting to try Another Broken Egg Cafe for quite sometime now and I finally made my way over today with my wife. Apparently I picked the worst day possible. Although we showed up around lunch time, they didn’t seem too packed, seeing as there were quite a few empty tables. I’d like to start by saying that our waitress/the bartender did a fantastic job. We ordered 2 waters and then my wife saw someone with a strawberry lemonade, so we ordered that as well. It was refreshing and it tasted very good. We placed our food order at 12:23. It was brought to us at 1:11. Right before our food came out, we witnessed another couple who was there before us get up and leave before getting their food. With that being said, I’ll gladly wait 30-45 minutes for some good HOT food any day. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case today. My wife’s eggs and pancakes were barely warm, same with my pancakes, potatoes, and my entire chicken biscuit. The chicken tender was tough and overcooked or possibly just sat out too long. I quickly figured out why the top part of my biscuit was sitting on the plate it was broken up into 3 pieces, so even if it was warm, i wouldn’t have been able to eat it like a sandwich. I’m not really trippin on that though. I will say the chicken biscuit had a good flavor, as well as my pancakes. I only took a bite out of each and decided the lukewarm food wasn’t for me. I politely told the waitress and she apologized and removed it from the ticket. She made the suggestion that the best days to stop by were weekdays, so I’ll definitely be giving them another shot soon. At the end of the day, this is my review of the food I ate, as well as my experience. I will always recommend everyone trying it for themselves and formulating their own opinions

I was needing to provide breakfast casseroles for 30 one morning and wanted to support local businesses. I placed my order using Another Broken Eggs website and catering menu option which ended up being ezcatering. No problem- I used the information provided by the website and placed the order indicating it was for 30 people. When the order was picked up we questioned why only 2 pans and they indicated one order for 10 is a 1/2 pan. What we got in the photos is not even a 1/2 pan. I called to ask how this was supposed to feed 30 people and the managers response was that she just follows the directions given to her by corporate. She does not control the portion sizes or look at the total number of people being served. I questioned if she could not work with us at all for a credit or something vs. A bad review and she said it was not fair to put a bad review for the store when she was just doing what corporate told her. So I'm doing both because it is the job of a local store to take care of customers when we are ordering off of their website.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Another Broken Egg in Tyler thanks to our server/bartender, Selena. From start to finish, she made our visit exceptional. Her hospitality was warm and genuine, making us feel truly welcome. She went above and beyond with attentiveness and kindness, never missing a detail. Selena’s food and drink recommendations were spot on—we could tell she really knows the menu and cares about making sure her guests have the best dining experience possible. Every suggestion was perfect, and it made our meal even more enjoyable. It is rare to receive this level of service, where someone combines professionalism with such a personal, friendly touch. Selena made our visit memorable, and we will absolutely be back because of her outstanding service.

Extremely dissatisfied with the experience my party and I had here today. We arrived at the restaurant at 1:00 PM and were seated by 1:12 PM. We had to wait even though over half of the tables in the restaurant were empty, including the bar which only had 5 people seated and the outdoor patio which was completely empty. Our waitress promptly took our order, which included two Lemon Mascarpone Pancake breakfasts—one with scrambled eggs and bacon, and the other with a fried egg and bacon—and one Traditional Day Starter with scrambled eggs, toast, and house sausage. However, our experience quickly deteriorated from there.

Approximately 10 minutes later, at 1:30 PM, the waitress returned to inform us that the restaurant was “out of pancakes.” I fail to comprehend how a breakfast restaurant can run out of something as fundamental as pancake batter, which is both simple and inexpensive to prepare. Disappointed but understanding, we reviewed the menu again to select alternate options.

When we attempted to place our second order, things went from bad to worse. We requested another Traditional Day Starter, only to be told that the restaurant was also out of sausage. Not just the house sausage, but all meat options except for bacon. This included the andouille sausage, maple apple chicken sausage, and ham. I then attempted to order the Apple Fritter French Toast, only to be informed that all French Toast options were also unavailable. At this point, it became evident that the restaurant was ill-prepared to fulfill even basic menu offerings.

Frustrated, I politely asked to speak with the manager. While I understand that the waitress is not responsible for inventory management, her response—rolling her eyes at my request—was unprofessional and only added to the frustration.

After waiting an additional 10 minutes, a Hispanic, middle-aged female approached our table, claiming to be the manager. She did not introduce herself by name, and her attitude was immediately defensive and dismissive. Rather than listening to our concerns, she repeatedly interrupted and spoke over us, making excuses instead of taking accountability. Her lack of professionalism and complete disregard for customer service were appalling. She offered no apology, no solution, and no effort to salvage the experience.

Had the restaurant been upfront about its depleted inventory when we arrived, we could have saved ourselves over an hour of wasted time and gone elsewhere. The fact that the restaurant was less than half-full at the time, suggests a deeper issue with management and operations. In contrast, other restaurants in the area are consistently bustling with customers for Sunday brunch, a clear sign that this location is struggling to meet basic standards.

This was only my second visit to this location, my first being shortly after it opened. Unfortunately, this experience has ensured that it will also be my last. The lack of training, preparedness, and professionalism displayed by both the staff and management is...

I was reading the reviews for today and saw a couple of reviews that I didn't agree with. I was there, and i was outside when the host came outside and wanted to explain to us what was taking so long . We joined the online waiting list as well. And our wait time from the time we checked in was way longer than we were quoted when we arrived. The place is new so we expected a wait. After waiting what seemed like forever, the host came outside with what looked like other guests that were inside waiting.Blesss her heart tried to gather everyone that was spread out waiting to tell us as a group what was taking so long. I agree she seemed a little frustrated, but I don't think it was because of the guest. I was inside checking in and overheard her trying to explain to the other young lady behind the desk. To try to slow down seating people in order to keep a pace . To avoid overwhelming the kitchen. The other host continued seating at the same pace. I felt as if that's why the host was frustrated. I applaud the host that came out to tell us what was going on. She explained that once we got seated, it would take an hour from then to get our food. She politely apologized. And told us if we didn't want to wait for another long amount of time to please come back and give us another chance. She didn't want us to leave and never come back . She told us all how sorry she was that we all had been waiting so long and told us thank you for being patient . Assured us that it is a new restaurant and w They are all learning and working out all the kinks. Were her words. Sad to say we left. But we will go back and try it again. The number of people that were there inside and out had to be overwhelming for a new place. I believe the manager who had the host come out to inform us of what was going on did good. It gave us a better idea of how much longer we were going to have to wait. I will give it another chance. I left disappointed we didn't get to eat. But not to upset we won't go back. Thanks to that hostess. She didn't want anyone to leave...

My sister and I visited this place because we heard great things and based on looking at the menu prior, we were intrigued. The host was friendly and sat us immediately (around 11 am) the atmosphere was pleasant and calm. We sat down and ordered one of the same drinks which was a strawberry mimosa. It was in a tiny glass barely half full (6/10) taste was okay but for the price it wasn’t worth It, plus barely any taste of alcohol. We continue to both order the French toast strawberry pound cake because of the description stating it had fresh whipped cream and a crème brûlée Sugar, by the picture it seemed amazing. Our food came in a normal timely manner but we once again got disappointed. Our food seemed very plain, it has no whipped cream or Crème brûlée only a few strawberries along with the French toast and our eggs and bacon (which was good 8/10). Once we asked for the missing items our waiter said that they had no crème brûlée and brushed it off like it wasn’t a valuable part of the meal (my sister and I both felt that that should have been said once we ordered), she then took about 15 mins to walk out with a big whip cream canister just to give use sad melted whipped cream. Now our food is cold from waiting and it looks nothing like the picture, but we proceed to eat and not complain. Once we got our checks we both spent about $30 for a meal that was overall unsatisfactory when we expected more. Lastly I gave the waiter my money waiting for change but she comes back short and tries to speed off before I can catch her. She states that they do not carry change….. at this point I’m over it and ask for a manager because this experience has been a waste of my time and now I’m basically being robbed. She then comes back out laughing saying oh I found some change. So in my opinion based on my experience I most likely will not return and will not recommend this place to anyone. The products are not worth my money and my time is not to be played with. Very cute...
