Extremely dissatisfied with the experience my party and I had here today. We arrived at the restaurant at 1:00 PM and were seated by 1:12 PM. We had to wait even though over half of the tables in the restaurant were empty, including the bar which only had 5 people seated and the outdoor patio which was completely empty. Our waitress promptly took our order, which included two Lemon Mascarpone Pancake breakfasts—one with scrambled eggs and bacon, and the other with a fried egg and bacon—and one Traditional Day Starter with scrambled eggs, toast, and house sausage. However, our experience quickly deteriorated from there.
Approximately 10 minutes later, at 1:30 PM, the waitress returned to inform us that the restaurant was “out of pancakes.” I fail to comprehend how a breakfast restaurant can run out of something as fundamental as pancake batter, which is both simple and inexpensive to prepare. Disappointed but understanding, we reviewed the menu again to select alternate options.
When we attempted to place our second order, things went from bad to worse. We requested another Traditional Day Starter, only to be told that the restaurant was also out of sausage. Not just the house sausage, but all meat options except for bacon. This included the andouille sausage, maple apple chicken sausage, and ham. I then attempted to order the Apple Fritter French Toast, only to be informed that all French Toast options were also unavailable. At this point, it became evident that the restaurant was ill-prepared to fulfill even basic menu offerings.
Frustrated, I politely asked to speak with the manager. While I understand that the waitress is not responsible for inventory management, her response—rolling her eyes at my request—was unprofessional and only added to the frustration.
After waiting an additional 10 minutes, a Hispanic, middle-aged female approached our table, claiming to be the manager. She did not introduce herself by name, and her attitude was immediately defensive and dismissive. Rather than listening to our concerns, she repeatedly interrupted and spoke over us, making excuses instead of taking accountability. Her lack of professionalism and complete disregard for customer service were appalling. She offered no apology, no solution, and no effort to salvage the experience.
Had the restaurant been upfront about its depleted inventory when we arrived, we could have saved ourselves over an hour of wasted time and gone elsewhere. The fact that the restaurant was less than half-full at the time, suggests a deeper issue with management and operations. In contrast, other restaurants in the area are consistently bustling with customers for Sunday brunch, a clear sign that this location is struggling to meet basic standards.
This was only my second visit to this location, my first being shortly after it opened. Unfortunately, this experience has ensured that it will also be my last. The lack of training, preparedness, and professionalism displayed by both the staff and management is...
Read moreI was reading the reviews for today and saw a couple of reviews that I didn't agree with. I was there, and i was outside when the host came outside and wanted to explain to us what was taking so long . We joined the online waiting list as well. And our wait time from the time we checked in was way longer than we were quoted when we arrived. The place is new so we expected a wait. After waiting what seemed like forever, the host came outside with what looked like other guests that were inside waiting.Blesss her heart tried to gather everyone that was spread out waiting to tell us as a group what was taking so long. I agree she seemed a little frustrated, but I don't think it was because of the guest. I was inside checking in and overheard her trying to explain to the other young lady behind the desk. To try to slow down seating people in order to keep a pace . To avoid overwhelming the kitchen. The other host continued seating at the same pace. I felt as if that's why the host was frustrated. I applaud the host that came out to tell us what was going on. She explained that once we got seated, it would take an hour from then to get our food. She politely apologized. And told us if we didn't want to wait for another long amount of time to please come back and give us another chance. She didn't want us to leave and never come back . She told us all how sorry she was that we all had been waiting so long and told us thank you for being patient . Assured us that it is a new restaurant and w They are all learning and working out all the kinks. Were her words. Sad to say we left. But we will go back and try it again. The number of people that were there inside and out had to be overwhelming for a new place. I believe the manager who had the host come out to inform us of what was going on did good. It gave us a better idea of how much longer we were going to have to wait. I will give it another chance. I left disappointed we didn't get to eat. But not to upset we won't go back. Thanks to that hostess. She didn't want anyone to leave...
Read moreMy sister and I visited this place because we heard great things and based on looking at the menu prior, we were intrigued. The host was friendly and sat us immediately (around 11 am) the atmosphere was pleasant and calm. We sat down and ordered one of the same drinks which was a strawberry mimosa. It was in a tiny glass barely half full (6/10) taste was okay but for the price it wasn’t worth It, plus barely any taste of alcohol. We continue to both order the French toast strawberry pound cake because of the description stating it had fresh whipped cream and a crème brûlée Sugar, by the picture it seemed amazing. Our food came in a normal timely manner but we once again got disappointed. Our food seemed very plain, it has no whipped cream or Crème brûlée only a few strawberries along with the French toast and our eggs and bacon (which was good 8/10). Once we asked for the missing items our waiter said that they had no crème brûlée and brushed it off like it wasn’t a valuable part of the meal (my sister and I both felt that that should have been said once we ordered), she then took about 15 mins to walk out with a big whip cream canister just to give use sad melted whipped cream. Now our food is cold from waiting and it looks nothing like the picture, but we proceed to eat and not complain. Once we got our checks we both spent about $30 for a meal that was overall unsatisfactory when we expected more. Lastly I gave the waiter my money waiting for change but she comes back short and tries to speed off before I can catch her. She states that they do not carry change….. at this point I’m over it and ask for a manager because this experience has been a waste of my time and now I’m basically being robbed. She then comes back out laughing saying oh I found some change. So in my opinion based on my experience I most likely will not return and will not recommend this place to anyone. The products are not worth my money and my time is not to be played with. Very cute...
