Anytime Fitness — Attraction in Union

-10/10 if that was possible, I recommend reading this full review before considering joining. I almost never write reviews, but I don’t want anyone to have the experience I had today. The staff member I spoke to spoke to me in a demeaning way as if I wasn’t capable of understanding what he was saying, and as I was talking he hung up the phone on me. Last week I signed up to try a class, around 10 minutes after the class was supposed to start, still nobody was there, I found out class was canceled because nobody wanted to come. Which shows a problem with the gym if they can’t get people to come to classes. I was not told it was canceled, even though I called shortly before coming, wasting my time. I was told I can come back to try the class next week, today I called to see if anyone signed up so I can try the class. Another worker told me I was not allowed to and you can’t take a class without being a member. Which is ridiculous, I’m not going to pay their expensive membership costs without knowing if I like their classes. I see now why no one shows up to Zumba classes rude staff and ridiculous policies! I recommend checking out a gym with cheaper membership, classes people actually show up to and way nicer staff. Terrible communication, one lady says I’m welcome to come to a class anytime, then another worker says something different. Don’t go here if you’re from out of town , they have their own rules and pick and choose who they ban and what they ban you for - with out notice. You just turn up and your fob doesn’t work anymore

Seems like their club rules and contracts are different to other anytime clubs

Staff are not professional nor are they understanding - trainer shut the door on me and pushed me out . Both manager and assistant manager couldn’t give me the courtesy of a face to face conversation

Seems they are more concerned with phone use , rather than actual gym etiquette and people putting equipment back in its place or having decency to wipe up after themselves

Whilst some people aren’t into social media - some of us are - this gym is definitely not welcoming to anyone who makes gym content or wants to Document their training

Head to the Harrison gym - worth the extra 10 min drive . The Owners are actually very good people...

Recently became a member of this gym & I can say with all honesty that this gym is amazing! Great owner & staff, they are extremely helpful & took the time to show me around the gym to give me a glimpse of what I'll be working with. It's extremely organized & clean here at this specific location. Well im officially a member & day 1 was intriguing with a lot of work done. Forgot to mention that they are open 24 Hrs as well, it doesn't get any better than that. Thank you Anytime Fitness!

Just a quick update : It's been about 2 weeks since I've became a member here & I'm completely addicted to working out & getting in shape! What a wonderful experience. Wanted to mention how clean this gym is, after using a machine or equipment you must clean it with the cleaning products they provide which is placed all over the gym, cleanliness is next to Godliness.
