I purchased a couple parts from them and only needed one to fix my furnace. When I came back in to return the other part they insisted it had been installed since the wire terminals where scratched. I did not install the part and perhaps my kids were playing with it or something... no way for me to prove otherwise I suppose and my kids deny messing with it (I suspect they or their friends were playing with it in the furnace room since it sat in there for a week).
This is a $20 part they refused to take back and kept telling me it was installed. So I essentially stood there and was called a liar by 3 people until I left.
It’s as simple as this: I CHOOSE to shop and support local business because often times interacting with another human being allows for decent treatment but these people treated me like a liar and theif over a $20 part - just in person, complete with smirks.
I honestly had a list of 2 other parts to buy from them when I walked in and was thrilled to find a well stocked local place (which they are) but left angry and insulted and drove to Home Depot for one part and ordered the other part online. No need to be patronized in person for a higher cost.
Shop there if you want but don’t expect any of the anticipated benefits that normally go along with supporting a local shop, they don’t give a “you know what” about you beyond...
Read moreI first stopped in at the Eagan location Friday parts needed were not Available there. sent me to vadness heights. I picked up the parts ordered. went to install flame sensor was not correct it was a Whirlpool would not match the GE dryer I have. I came back the next morning to return the flame censor these people were very argumental explain to him that it does not fit he said you just have to turn it the opposite way to put it in I said if I did that the flame sensor would be against a solid pipe. Finally got it returned. I then needed a thermostat they could not look it up with out the part number or the model understandable .I went back home got the part number place the order they said they could leave it outside for me when I got there it was not outside it was not anywhere in sight. called the after hours the gentleman answered his phone and said he saw the ticket but he didn't see that it was for will call . Said he'd get back here when he can. over 2 hours for one...
Read moreI'm all for employing the handicapped however the guy that works here that is handicap has been here for quite some time. He has gotten to the point now or he can't even run for parts. It is sad really, and honestly it slows down their business. I got in line and I was rather busy and the handicapped gentleman said he can help me I went up gave him the part number and he asked another associate to run and get the parts I then had to wait for her to finish up with her customer who was in line behind me to go and get the part for him. Therefore I was waiting much longer than I should have been or would have been if I had another associate helping me. He is also pretty grouchy and grumpy and I don't blame them considering the fact that he is trying to work in a business that really isn't...
