I don’t usually shop at La Tapita, but I accompanied my mom there recently because she wanted to buy some tea. I picked up some fruit and a six-pack of IPA as well. When we were at the register, my mom asked the cashier for help reaching the tea, since we’re both on the shorter side. The cashier said she’d help as soon as she was done scanning my items, so my mom went to wait by the tea section. After scanning my items, the cashier let me know the six-pack alone was $26, which seemed way overpriced. I asked her to void it and I went ahead and paid for my fruit, but even after all that, she still didn’t go to help my mom. Thankfully, the man working at the check-cashing section ended up helping her reach it. As my mom was coming back to the register, a man approached the cashier. He seemed like he might be the owner, given his attitude. Unfortunately, he was extremely rude, coming over as though he knew what was going on—when he clearly didn’t. His unprofessional demeanor, not to mention noticeable eye issues, made us feel uncomfortable. Honestly, if it hadn’t been for my mom wanting the tea, I would’ve left it all there and ordered from Amazon instead, where it’s cheaper anyway. Overall, between the lack of customer service and poor attitude from staff, I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

Whoa! In the last review I talked about the toasted coconut candy they have it's delicious, but yall oh my goodness I just discovered the cheese cooler to the back of the store went in to buy milk first time in their dairy Department very impressive😲 I also picked up three different kinds of cheese they got so many and it's fresh cheese smells wonderful if you love to cook or just love cheese check out their cheese cooler and some of their toasted coconut candy 🧀✊

I have been coming here for over 10 years. They have nice butcher and specialty products that i like to purchace. I have been spending about $100.00 per week during this time. THEIR PRICES ARE ON THE HIGHER SIDE FOR THESE PRODUCTS.

However, customer service has always been a problem and continues to this very day.

They treat nonhispanic customer's differently and some act with total disrespect to their customers. Several of the girls in the Deli Department have treated me rudely and with what I believe racist entitled childish behavior because I am a caucasion.

THE ENTIRE CREW NEEDS TO BE RETRAINED IN WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE ENTAILS: KIND, COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL.

There are many other options available to me and my family in Vallejo to shop. I will not be returning to this store because I believe the tone of any company starts with its Owners. This Discourteousness has been a continued problem and only seems to be degenerating further.

I will continue to shop at downtown Grocery Outlet, Smart and Final, and Mi...

Only good thing is the Authentic Mexican products and some good staff here and there. Not very clean or organized. Had a negative encounter with meat department. If they don’t want to cut the meat then just say so or don’t even offer it. You don’t have to gossip with your co workers about the customers right in front of them. I speak Spanish too! I was with my mother and she heard all the things they were saying. We didn’t mind the prices, but with this terrible service then there’s more reasons...
