Helke Park — Attraction in Vandalia

Nice park. Families were picnicking. The bad side a creepy, guy was hanging around my grandsons asking bad questions and then talked to my daughter. We were there at 5pm and left at 7 when the guy started being weird. Come on Vandalia you can do better. The grass needs mowed to provide better access to the paths and holes for the disc golf course. I don't understand why this is not taken care of?? All the other areas in the park seem to be. At this point I don't see why you cut down all the trees to build something that is for the most part ...

Played at playground behind school until it was too hot from the sun, as there was no surrounding trees or shade. We couldn't swing because the swings were already too hot.
