You've got to come to Embarc in Ventura. They are open until 9pm. Which is perfect for us. Everybody is genuinely warm, friendly, welcoming and impressively knowledgeable. The system is well thought out and beautifully designed. The receptionists are always warm and welcoming. Just as the budtenders are. And they make it so easy. Embarc has an app you can download and accumulate points with each purchase to receive discounts on future purchases. They also have a web site to see what's available at that time. You can put together your order and let them know when you'll be by to pick it up. Once there, you are welcomed by friendly security who unlocks the front door for you with a warm smile. Then you are welcomed in by very friendly and professional receptionists in a beautifully designed reception area. They take your ID and if you put your order together on line you are either directed to the window (a cool hole in the wall ;) to complete your purchase or the receptionist unlocks the main room door and you are welcomed in warmly. It is beautiful and clean. But the best thing is it doesn't make you feel like your in a clinic. It has a very cool beach vibe. Designed and decorated to fit right in and represent Ventura. The knowledgeable and friendly budtenders are available to answer your questions on the multitude of choices and varieties of products. Shout out to Alex. He's amazing. They all are really. Other dispensaries I have frequented in the past have had much better reward programs. The front desk people are always nice as are the people who take my payment at the pick up window for online orders. But Budtender service could be improved. I usually order online and pick up. The few times I have gone inside the dispensary the service has been disappointing. One guy seemed like he was not in a good mood and was impatient. Another guy literally kept trying to walk away while I was asking questions about cannabis infused beverages which I had never tried before. I asked if there was another customer waiting before me that he needed to help. He said no & slowly & reluctantly walked back over to me but he had very little knowledge of the product I was interested in so I ended up not buying any beverages. After reading other reviews, clearly I need to ask for Devonte next time I go inside! I was hassled by security once for lingering in the lobby after making my purchase to to read & respond to a few texts. The guy at the front desk had given me permission to do so when I asked. One being I asked her if there any deals going on with the sativa flower and she showed me the top of the line sativas. Then I asked again about any on sale discounts and that's when I said something about diamonds and that brought to her memory that she did have some diamond pre-roll-ups available that were on sale. Also at the register I reminded her or asked her if there was any freebies for the prices that I was paying over $100. That brought to her mind yes there was I have not looked to my bag to see if it made it in the bag. Then I reminded her once again that I was a beginner first timer to get the 15% off. Then I had to remind her that I had already paid $100 with cash and the rest was going on a card because I didn't bring in any more cash. And she tried to charge me on my card the hundred I'd already paid her. Good thing I caught that before it went through. She made the correction and all was well. That was my experience.
