We had so much fun! We were a private party of 7 for a throwing class. We started with great instructions, an attentive teacher, 5 pottery wheels, 3 balls of clay each, 2 pieces kept for final products, and lasted around 2 hours. 2 people rotated off the wheels to allow for our bigger group. Gretchen is a master teacher and amazing potter. We appreciated her ability to give us an attentive group and personal experience! She used different techniques for my 80 year old mom (with a rollator) and my 40 year old self. It's hard to teach, especially different adult personalities, but she was great! Read moreI first signed up to do a private class and loved it! Timing was flexible and the class is just the right amount of time and teaching. The group class really solidified it for me - it takes you through wedging, throwing, trimming, glazing. We learned how to work on different shapes and how to use different glazes. My favorite thing about pottery is that each step in the process gives you a chance to add creative changes. This is, for me, a chance to step away and enjoy something just for me.
