We love going to megaplex, mostly for the food. Haha we get the popcorn bucket. It's like $30, but it pays for itself if you go like 3 times (depending on how big your family is). Our family usually uses 2 buckets in a visit. (We have 7 people). We buy one with the current years tag, I could be wrong but I think they go on sale in October/November for the next year. Then you can use the bucket with the current years tag to refill popcorn, and if you dump it into an older year at the counter, you should be able to get another refill with the current years bucket. Or you could leave the line, dump and come back if you don't have another bucket. They have lunch sacks behind the counter you can ask for, so we will divy it out among the group into lunch sacks there in the lobby. And hand out to everyone. They are the smaller lunch sacks, so another option is you could bring Larger ones. Another thing we do is pay extra for the lid that comes with the bucket. We now have 5 of these and we will bring them to split up popcorn. Some of the theaters have trays at the seats, so they can sit on the tray. Their mega mugs are not year specific, so you can use any year's cup to refill drinks. We have been getting plastic cups from Walmart, that come with lids with a straw hole. So after we do the drink refill we can split that into two or three cups for kids. Some of their theaters can be colder so we sometimes bring a lite blanket. When you are buying tickets you should pay attention to the seats, they are different in different theater rooma and theater locations. Geneva has a quiet room in some theaters which is really helpful if you have a little one who starts crying during the show. If you want reclining seats look for the luxary seats. Thanksgiving point has Dbox seats which are fun for action movies, they move with the movie. These seats are all discounted on Tuesdays. So we usually only take our kids on Tuesdays, but get the seats about a week in advance, to get what we want. Get there early to get everyone to the bathroom and get snacks and situated in seats. The pass is nice too, if you're a frequent movie goer. Also make sure to make an account with your email, this isn't a pass, it just records your points. We are frequently getting our popcorn refills for free because we accumulate so many points with the...

We went tonight to see a movie and the whole lobby floor was covered in popcorn, behind the counter the guy was walking on a mountain of popcorn spilled all across the floor, they had only one or two options for candy, legit nothing else, the guy was serving up popcorn with gloves on and then touching the register and the dirty counter, then put fingers inside my son's drink cup... There were zero managers on site, the ticket scanner guy said he couldn't scan our tickets bc his scanner didn't even work...and then told us that we could go into the theater even though it hasn't been cleaned bc they're short staffed or something? Honestly I only saw like 4 people working all night long...which is deeply troubling.
I used to work at movie theaters in high school and we did a better job at 15-18 years old cleaning and stocking and did better customer service than they do here hands down. All I ordered for me was a box of candy and a bottle of water bc that's all that I could assume would be safe to ingest.
Go figure the candies were hard & old...for $5 bucks a box.
Things that need to happen today:
*Hire management that knows how to manage. No one there knew any answers to customer questions.
*Sweep the lobby and hallways a couple times an hour to keep popcorn messes cleaned up.
*Mop up spills quickly.
*Clean the soda machines, & refill them as more than one of them was only pouring out carbonated soda water but not the syrup in it.
*Make sure ticket scanners devices actually work.
*Deep clean behind concessions, sweep hourly, mop and wipe down counters frequently.
*Clean every theater prior to a new showing. This is legit not even hard to do.
*Stock soap in the bathrooms.
*Unlock all doors during business hours as this is a massive fire hazard...a front door was locked during business hours but there was no one to report that to as no manager was even available.
We will not be going to this location again until things improve.
Honestly cannot believe how bad it was, truly gross. I would give it zero stars...
Read moreMy experience with the Megaplex Theater has gone from a 5 stars to a 1 star rating. Your employees are seriously lacking with the basic knowledge on how to perform the duties of their job. Each time I come, I literally have to walk them through how to assemble a kids meal. They don’t know the prices of things when I ask, etc. back when I interviewed for jobs, I was given tests or quizzes on what I was selling or how a cash register worked.
Secondly, my biggest complaint.. Are we cleaning the theater seats with rags that smell like body odor or are we just simply, not cleaning seats in between each movie? Remember Covid 5 years ago? We couldn’t go to any establishment without them completely sanitizing things before and after use. I am disgusted to say your theaters are putrid and rancid. The past 3 times I have visited this theater, my seat has reeked of foul body odor. This is completely unacceptable. I would rather know I’m sitting in a clean seat rather than employees constantly sweeping up spilled popcorn. People don’t sit and eat off the floor. Each time I have left, I smell like the last person who sat in the seat. Or maybe, the last 10 people. It’s sticky, smelly and grimy. On average, I spend $80 for my family of 4 to comfortably enjoy our time at the movies. Each time we come, the food tastes less great and the upkeep of the theater is embarrassing. This world is becoming more disgraceful because things cost twice as much as they use to, and people are more lazy with their job. I don’t understand how people rate this establishment is “clean” its not. Please do better. I just want to come to the movies with my kids and not rush home to shower because...
