Second time I've stayed here in less than a month. The first time, my company randomly booked me at the Even. My second trip, they offered to book me someplace closer to the office (with attached parking...see below), and I said, "Nope. Back to the Even for me!" ||Downside? The parking is a drag! Rained all week this last time and schlepping across the street to the parking was rough. Also, guests have to park on floors 5 and 6 and depending on what time you leave during the day, it can be treacherous with the cars buzzing in on the other floors. Another bummer is the food, especially if you stay there all week like I do. I appreciate the effort, but it's akin to airplane food...tastes a little nuked, but nice to at least have some food choices there. And if someone's reading this, just take that mac 'n cheese off the menu in a town like Atlanta. ;) ||Upside? Man alive, the staff there is AWESOME! They were in large part one of the reasons I wanted to return. Last visit when I arrived, it was raining cats and dogs and my flight was delayed meaning a late arrival. Andrea at the front desk checked me in with a smile and said, "Kitchen closes soon, so why don't you go over, order your food now since you've had a long day and it'll be ready once you go check into your room and come back down." I really appreciate her looking out! And the bar/restaurant staff? OMG! Che the bartender remembered me from the last visit and when I came down to get my food, she had my drink that she remembered from the last time waiting for me. You hear that? She. Had. My. Drink. Ready. And. Remembered. It. That kids, is what you call ELITE customer service. Next day, the coffee machine was down and boy did I need some coffee. What did their staff Sheldon do? That man made me an Americano from the espresso machine. He didn't have to, but that really made a difference in the course of my day.||Now, the rooms: Super clean and well-appointed. Cool to have yoga mats and a TRX in the room. Yeah, the mounted shower products aren't ideal, but they are super great quality. They have drinking water stations on each floor which is nice and a daily selection of infused water in the lobby. ||Location: Great for visitors to the ballpark, generally close to downtown and a couple of freeways. So-so mall around the corner, but other decent strip mall locations for food, toiletries, etc. ||Will definitely be back! Thank you all for another...
Read moreWe stayed here recently and were very pleased! It was a twenty minute drive from our event, but it was worth it as there were few affordable rooms left there, we're more familiar with this area, and it feels safer. The building is fairly new, and I appreciated this freshness very much. The housekeeping was also very good (I do a similar job and appreciate you all!) and the room even smelled nice. I don't usually note much about customer service unless the employees are terribly rude or inattentive, but I have to commend the front desk employees we met. Andrea was very welcoming and attentive. She made sure we had a room that would be best for us as I had made notes on the IHG app, and she read all of my preferences. Another woman at the front was polite despite my goofy costume when I had asked for a sewing kit, and one evening, the gentleman at the desk greeted us warmly. It seems there is good management. As for the room, it was spacious and had very refreshing decor (though the text on the walls was corny...). I especially liked the low window without heavy and dusty curtains but two layers of blinds, the exercise equipment (didn't use, too busy or tired!), and white board to doodle on. I think the alarm had a dawn/dusk feature but didn't try. The bathroom was nice, but this fancy type of backlighting on the mirror made makeup application more challenging. There are no microwaves in the rooms, but no big deal to use the one in the lobby. The walls weren't especially thin, but we did hear our loud neighbors several times at night and in the day, but fortunately they weren't a problem for too long (please speak softly in hotels). The gym looked good as did the bar and restaurant, but didn't get a chance to use. The one, big downside to the hotel is the parking. You have to pay for it daily, walk to a shared lot, and park on the upper floors. This lot is shared with a bank, so I think the security is probably good. For this price at a hotel that beats some more expensive ones we've stayed at in quality, I can't complain much! We are very likely to return on our next trip to Atlanta. Please keep up...
Read moreWorst thing 1st! I noticed someone from HOUSEKEEPING UNZIPPED and went through my luggage after I left the hotel at Noon, and returned from work. Nothing was missing but I did notify the front desk. I very particular of how I leave things and that was the first thing I noticed coming back to my room. My zippers were moved to a different side and my expander zipper was open and I didn’t have much and knew it was left closed before I’d even left home
Check-in/Check-out At check in (around 11pm), I was given the wrong room number (an ODD number) and had to go back down to get it checked and changed. The desk person was nice though but I’d had such a long day. For checkout, the elevator stopped at all floors TWICE the morning I was checking out. The desk person was nice and took information regarding my concerns
The bathroom First, it’s a spacious room and bathroom/shower. Though TWO of the bath towels were not cleaned properly, small brown stains were on them. The toilet doesn’t flush properly.
The main room There were no wipes/disinfectant spray to clean workout equipment in the room. Thankfully I brought my own. Also there’s NO Microwave in the room but there’s a fridge
Overall: Breakfast should be COMPLIMENTARY. The hotel is clean as far as you can see upon walking in. All the rooms are EVEN numbered. It’s in a GREAT location in terms of getting on the highway and distance from the airport and downtown isn’t too bad. The staff are nice, on the surface. I really hate that my things were moved. The parking deck is a bit of a walk but...
