HUE Salon — Attraction in Virginia Beach

I booked an appointment last minute which was my mistake but i’m freshly postpartum and time i get for myself is rare. I booked with Karen, she called me the night before asking what i would like done, she told me she had an ombré appointment after me so time was her concern. The next day I felt like she didn’t want to do my hair the way I wanted and talked me into something else to save her time. I asked for curtain bangs and ended up with a wolf cut. She also made me feel bad for wanting her to style my hair after her cutting and drying. Her next client walked in and she said i would like my haircut if i styled it at home the way i would style it daily. She ended up styling it but seemed annoyed. I tried to be vocal about the hair color but she just cuts me off saying there was no way to bleach my hair and the only way was going this dark. I never heard of you ever wanna be lighter was going darker. I wanted to feel good about myself and now i feel worse, bright side i will be staying inside for a while but still feel terrible every time i look into the mirror. I read the reviews after and another person had the same problem with her cutting their hair. Just to spend $200 just to feel worse about myself is not...

Amazing find! My first time here and only because sadly I have been failed multiple times by many hair salons at Hampton and Newport News area. So I Googled and Yelped search for hair places in VB and Norfolk area with amazing reviews. I finally came across Hue Salon, was willing to travel 45 mins and so glad I did!!! I booked with hair stylist/salon manager, Adanus Shanti! When I tell you that I am now a forever customer, I am serious! The salon is beautifully decorated first of all and very welcoming! However what really sold me was how Adanus got exactly what I wanted! The color, the style, everything! I was close to thinking that maybe what I wanted did not exist, that I was expecting something unattainable because none of my previous stylists ever came close to the exact color I had been looking for! Well, not until I met Adanus. Superb skills! Best of all, she’s a really lovely person, connects with her customers genuinely! I know that if I keep sharing this with everyone I know, it could mean that this place will be busy and appointments may be scarce but I would rather have that in order to keep great people like Adanus in business! Don’t hesitate, just book your next hair...

STOP!! Let me just first start by saying… I left this salon today with such an elated feeling!! From the moment I placed my call to setting my appointment to walking in the doors, I was greeted on the phone and in person as if I was family! The ambiance of this salon..WOW! Just WOW! This salon will have you so relaxed, and laughing that you will forget your even in a salon! I was so nervous to get my hair done, as my last experience was less then desirable! My stylist Adnus Shanti literally made me feel at ease even while I was in depth explaining on the phone what I needed! She remained calm, she listen to my concerns and was very personable in her approach talking to me about my concerns and wants!! She remained that way throughout the duration of my appointment! Offered me coffee and snacks! And delivered EXACTLY and more what I wanted! When I say I cannot rave enough about this place would be a true understatement! She not only delivered flawlessly, but her spirit her character, is amazingly humble, kind and funny! I will definitely be back here! Ladies! This is it! This is your STOP!!
