We decided to visit today after driving by it for the last 4 years. I had purchased 4 passes from Groupon and then paid $30 for our 4 year old to play, too. Right away we could see it was a bit run down and very short staffed. I'm not complaining about the lack of staff because this is the nature of society these days. The staff they do have was, for the most part, VERY friendly and helpful. A few seemed very bored and not very enthusiastic. We had a 3 hour pass but it seemed like half the time was waiting for someone to come over to the attraction we wanted to use. But again, being short staffed - I get it. My biggest complaint today was the large bus group that was at the park. At one point my family and I were waiting to ride the family track. Numerous people from the group were on the ride and when their turn ended, they were not following directions and began crashing into each other VERY hard. Some were even trying to get out of the go kart before everyone was even in/parked and as more karts crashed it caused those standing to fall down. It was terrifying to be honest. We pulled our children back away from the fence because of how hard they were crashing. We thought maybe there were brake issues with the karts so we instructed our children to slow down far before the red flag to ensure they didn't crash like we just witnessed. But as soon as it was our turn, we realized there was absolutely nothing wrong with the brakes - only the park attendees. Another instance happened on another track where my 10 year old was cut off and made to crash because of one of these wreck less drivers. My children also noted they were running over hats and cell phones that the attendees were dropping on the track. My kids did not want to ride anything else if members of the bus group were on the ride, too. We witnessed these people crashing into each other on every single track they were on. At one point a go kart was even crashed into the side and hung up on the guard rail. Ultimately we ended up going to putt putt with an hour left of our time because we weren't having much fun anymore. The putt putt golf was a lot of fun but also a bit run down with mud/water on many of the courses. We didn't really find it worth the $50 we spent BUT, again, we did have fun on the putt putt course. As I was watching all of the crashes happening, I was reading the rules posted at each ride that states they will remove people from the park for not following rules. That didn't seem to be the case as they were allowing so much wrecklessness. I feel bad because Covid likely hurt this attraction and they don't want to lose business. But at the same time, we were very uncomfortable with the way this group was behaving and wish something would have been done to curb it. We would likely return again, though probably not until it's cooler temps and maybe when it's just more families...
Read moreIt was a hot day. So, I decided not to follow my teenage son around this time. I sat on a bench away from the tracks. We have been here several times and my son has loved it. Due to an incident that occurred today, we will not be going anymore once our tickets are used up because we had already paid for them. He came to me and he said, "I want to go home. I got kicked out of the track (the eight track), and the guy told me not to come back. Do not come back." So, I asked my son what happened. He then told me about the ordeal. What he was accused of doing did not sound like him at all. My husband has ridden gocarts on the same tracks as my son many times, and he can attest to the fact that my son doesn't go around ramming into people. I am all for discipline, but I will stand up for my kids if things do not sound right. My son does not and has never just hit a bunch of cars just because he feels like it. I was not there, but it sounded like these were little tiny kids. From the sound of it, my son said that it looked like they weren't even tall enough to get on the ride. It sounded like the grandmas were getting after my son and told the workers. Then one worker targeted my son and believed every word that the grandmas had said. It is a racetrack people. We have never had this issue before. He has never ran into somebody purposefully. Besides this, I have been ran into several times before. It's a race track. We will not be giving our business to this company ever again. When I asked for the manager, the guy who kicked my son off the eight track just kind of shrugged his shoulder and said, "I don't think there is one. I don't know." I asked for a video of the situation. He said that he did not think there was a video. Thankfully, there were two other guys standing behind the worker that actually called the manager on the walkie-talkie. I got to talk to the manager and the manager was very understanding; however, the manager did very little about the situation. He talked to his worker; however, my son was still banned from riding on the eight track. It is not right that my son was targeted just because young kids were going slow and that he got blamed that he was hitting them. My son said that the kids were afraid of the sound of the engine and that the grandma said that my son's engine was too loud. So we're not supposed to ride after we just paid? Is this how a racetrack...
Read moreSome friends recently went here, so my review is from the perspective of a group of adults. The first thing we noticed was the overall appearance of the park was quite run down. There was a disused track with moss growing up through it and a lot of the tracks had large cracks and grass growing up through them. We went to purchase tickets and we were surprised at the price. You either purchase races individually at $10+ a piece or buy an armband for $69. We elected to buy the armband with a single adult speed ticket for roughly $90. Ouch. We had a blast on the slick 8 track and Grand Prix. The 1/2 mile road course was the main reason we came, but the carts are spaced out so that you driving completely by yourself and have to come to a complete stop every lap and be spaced again which made it quite boring. The attitude of the workers varied wildly from course to course. The slick 8 track and Grand Prix were basically a free for all. Carts are not slowed down remotely and the employees will run into traffic to restart dead carts. I would not recommend sending children on several of those courses as a result. The other extreme of this was the drift cart course where the employees stopped the race twice to complain about supposed bumping of which none of us saw any. Finally we did the speed track. My original cart would not start which delayed me over 1 minute of the 6 minute race. I was just getting to know the track when a racer managed to drive their cart UNDER THE WALL. We are still not entirely sure how it happened, but we were stopped and then fed off into the pits. Despite missing out on almost 2 minutes of the race at the end and over a minute at the beginning, we were told our race was over. I asked the track official and he was kind enough to let me and only me have another race for free. I was about half way through the second race when another accident happened resulting in a racer getting stuck under the wall. This time first aid was dispatched. Again, we were fed off into the pits and told our race was over with no refund or offer of another race.
Tldr: Park is in rough shape, do not spend the money on the adult speed track, and be mindful of which rides you send...
