We had our Granddaughters Birthday party in one of the pavilions in October 2021. The pavilions are first come, first serve. We tried to get the one closest to the playground, but someone was there at 6:00 am to claim it, yet they did not use it until 5:00 pm. (So frustrating). We were there at 8:09 am & our party started at 2:00 pm.
Bring cleaning supplies for the tables & seats and tablecloths. You may need to clean out the grill from the last person. You cannot use nails or staples to hang up items to the pavilions. I suggest using extra strength clear packing tape.
The grounds were well kept & bathrooms were clean.
We ordered Papa John's pizza while we were keeping the pavilion occupied and during set up. The driver drove around the large empty parking area looking for us and I had to literally chase him down. What I most appreciate are the tall trees giving off a nice breeze and shade which really helps on a 90 degree weather in the summer in Virginia Beach. Also convenient for shorter distance walks and a clean playground for children to have fun at. Read moreThis park is smack dab in the middle of a hospital and businesses. There’s plenty of shade, 3 pavilions, several spaced out bench tables, and a restroom area. The paved walkway is intermittently covered under the canopy of the trees. There are a few cracked spots in the pavement but it doesn’t it doesn’t hinder you from safely walking.
