The Escape Room VB LLC — Attraction in Virginia Beach

We just did pawn shop, and I have to say, it was just me and my wife, we’ve done escape rooms probably over 20 times now and never had an experience like this, this was our first time coming here and there was no leniency as far as rules go with timing especially when equipment was faulty with locks, very slow on giving us hints when asking for them (even though they deduct 1 minute from your time after using all 3 hints.) we felt like we wasted our $70 something dollars to just look at a room for an hour. I recently played the Mad Scientist room and found it to be an average escape room experience. We had a group of 4 and usually 2 people had nothing to do. While the room wasn't particularly difficult, there was one puzzle that seemed designed to pad out the time rather than add to the challenge. Additionally, the room felt like it was built on a budget, with RBG light strips and random math posters serving as the main decorations. While my team did manage to escape successfully, I've had better experiences with other escape room companies in the area. My husband and I recently did an escape room here. Back home in the midwest we’re used to I suppose rooms that are way more immersive. And seeing as how we paid a similar price it just didn’t meet our expectations. The staff on site didn’t seem to have much of an interest which kind of lowered my own enthusiasm. Also one of our hints which was a 4 digit code was given multiple times was in the wrong order (there were two numbers flipped) which slowed us down.
