Took one of the public tours of the Botanical Gardens this morning. They discussed the plans they have for the future and I think their ideas are amazing! They really have the public's interest in mind and they're already engaged with so many community organizations. They're in the very early phases of creation, but they have already made a few trails with wood chips covering then. They have some seating areas in the shade, which are great for small groups. They also have started a small wildflower garden by the entrance. They mentioned that it's open from dawn to dust, but even if the gates are closed you can go around them and just walk at your leisure. They really do just want everyone to enjoy the space. They allow dogs and outdoor food, and although they have tree trunks for sitting, you can also bring your own seats too.
Can't wait for their dreams to come true! I think it's a great addition for the area currently, but will be so amazing...

The people who are on the development committee are great and have such an amazing vision for the place. Currently there are only walking/hiking paths, but they have plans for an education center, children’s area, bird watching area, amphitheater, and of course gardens highlighting different native plants.
