Growing up in Upstate NY, we skated on state and private property and would be ticketed for doing so. There was no public park for us to use, we’d need our parents to drive us to Vermont. This park is accessible to everyone from all socioeconomic backgrounds, can be reached via public transportation , is funded via taxes, and is a great outlet to keep kids off the streets. The city took the old park and built this upgrade and knocked it out of the park. I take my son here often. The regular community and visitors are all loving toward and supportive of one another, and they treat us with nothing but respect. There’s encouragement everywhere from all who use the park. Make sure to respect it and clean up after yourself when you’re here.

Nice walking/bike trail, my younger son enjoyed riding his bike on the flat blacktop while his older brother enjoyed trying the ramps and bowl. You need to park in the small parking lot off McIntire near the baseball fields and walk up the ramp and across the bridge. Large outdoor lights mean we will be able to still enjoy it when the sun begins setting earlier. I enjoyed the picnic tables and was glad there was a bathroom close by.

So many bad reviews below, most of which were written before the new park was built. The new park is impressive, I'll upload high quality 360 photos in the near future.

This skatepark is terrible. It says it is one adress and then we drive 1 hour finding it. The rails don't bring at all and there's no run up for the stair set. Don't come here, it is terrible. And they make you wear a helmet. No wonder people only spend 10...
